AA new agent - flight benefits question

    Hi all,

Was wondering if someone out there from AA can help me with this quick question. About to start as an agent (Level 42, Airport Operations, I believe). My question is - will flight benefits for myself and immediate family (spouse, kids, parents) be effective right away (upon hire), or is there some kind of probationary period in which I would have to wait?

I have asked hiring manager, but he didn't give a firm answer. My contacts at talent services (HR) couldn't answer this for me either. I'm sure I'll find out on my first day there, but it would help a lot if I knew his answer beforehand.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me with this info!

In my pilot class we got our IDs, registered on Jetnet, and then it took about 24 hours to show as active.

According to the TRIP Book on jetnet, you and your family can travel effective by date of hire. There is not a probationary period. Once hired and you are given a jetnet login you should be able to non-rev to your hearts content.

D1/D2 travel (you, parents, spouse/significant other, children) should start immediately.
D3 travel (anyone else) takes a while... 2 years I think?

Immediately for you, partner, children and parents on AA/AE maybe US Air now. Travel on other airlines ZED/ID90 is 6 months. Guest passes are ~6mo after date of hire
