They still doing 25 minute turns?
how much of FM-1 is ignored on every quick turn.....

it’s so different once you’re out of the regionals. If it’s in the book, we do it. Everything from both pilots reviewing the full flight plan and notams, to both pilots reviewing each waypoint entered into the FMC, to verifying bearing distance on each RNAV SID waypoint.
repo flight with deadheading crew? Yep, without FA’s we do the briefing, get the book out and check all emergency equipment, close lock and arm all doors. The fastest turn I’ve ever seen them schedule was 45 minutes and that was no pax or dead headers. Oh, we do our own W&B also, it is computerized, but it’s another thing to do in limited time. The sheet has to be within certain margins matching the flight plan or we have to call dispatch to determine the variance.

just do what’s in their book, if the system grinds to a halt, then it’s time to review how they schedule flights.
the whole single level of safety mantra is a joke. Regionals aren’t even close. Envoy pilots can’t even remove themselves fatigued without losing pay and ending up on the, unwritten but everybody knows exists, crap list.... and don’t even think about calling in sick. That union negotiated benefit sick time is just there because everybody else has sick time, they don’t expect you to actually use it when you’re sick.

Yup. Getting rid of the east Texas mafia would be a good start. I do sometimes miss the condescending HI6s though.
