well, given that 240,000+ have died from it, I’m happy to be here. Especially since our politically motivated lack of medical care essentially leaves people at home quarantined for two weeks to let the virus fester and take hold. By the time you go to the ER you’re in big trouble.
look, the big wigs and important people get treated with the latest meds right after testing positive, then they’re released in 2-3 days. The rest of us get told to go home for two weeks and if it gets bad, go to the ER. First illness in history where early intervention isn’t the best medicine, unless your a big wig rich or famous person.... then you get early medical intervention.

they’re treating this disease (not treating it really) backwards, and that why folks are still dying.

Glad to hear you are better. With the vaccines now on the horizon and TSA numbers steadily climbing, you are going to see the plans AA put in place months ago to weather this begin to really start bearing fruit. I predict that AA will be the first to expand as this subsides with vaccines and therapuetics. With resumption of normal schedules and expansion beyond, the furlough will be short lived and I also predict AA will be the first to need additional bodies. That restarts the flow through along with the resumption of hiring. Good times ahead indeed.

sounds like we both got the milder version. I had sniffles, a light cough, the poops for a few days, and would get tired/winded easilly. Bought a wrist BP, finger O2 & pulse meter, and an infrared thermometer off Amazon and monitored all my SATS twice a day. I started at 98% O2 and 4 days later had dropped to 93% which is when they tell you go to the ER. Stubborn me waited and my afternoon check went back up to 94%. It kept getting better each day. They say you only need to quarantine the 10 days, but I did the full 14.
glad your pulling through. It sucks.

I rode AA yesterday. A 4.5 hour flight with zero snacks or refreshment, in uncomfortable seats after the third hour, no TV, no radio, ridiculously small Lav.
They’ve made travel as miserable as they possibly could. No wonder nobody likes to fly AA anymore. Even Spirit is putting out a better product.

    Your batting average sucks slugger.
I’m not sure if you’d even be able to connect playing tee ball.
Go back to APC with your predictions.
You’re interactions with the AA guys there reminds me of watching Wiley Coyote getting continually flattened by semis on a busy freeway.

In their defense, there are refreshments onboard. You just have to ask for them. No “traditional” beverage service for the foreseeable future.

evry other domestic carrier I’ve been on is still running beverage and snack service. I’m on Alaska Friday from Seattle to Boston. I’ll let you know how they are. Still One World for the points though.

thanks man, I appreciate that. Wife and son got it from me before we even knew I had it. Once I got the sniffles I quarantined in our in-law unit and got tested to be safe. Shocked when my sniffles, light cough turned out to be Covid. Wife and son caught it anyway and we all quarantined together. We all mega dosed on the C, D3, and other stuff. Son had the sniffles for about 4 days. My wife was like me sniffles and a light cough. Everybody pulled through fine, our SATS did drop but nobody needed an ER. It does wipe you out. Tired, no energy, easily winded. You can definitely feel it in your chest. It sucks. Don’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Really good to hear you and your family are doing well. I know most of the time it works out that way but this bug can go sideways in a hurry. Thankful that it didn’t for you all.

So far so good. Still employed daughter doing well and no one has gotten sick. Very thankful for all. Had to work a red eye last night and was complaining about it. Had to stop and check myself and realize how lucky I really am and that this will be just a blip in my life at the end of the day.
