Side note, ord envoy shrinking while aag feed rah and skw growing. What envoy base next to close, we only have 3. Previous L-eag / envoy hub bases, jfk, bos, bna, rdu, lax, sju all closed just mia, dfw, and ord left. Every one has a 33% chance of being correct, pick your envoy base of closure.

Same as Expressjet. Continue giving XJet more business, or close it during the pandemic when demand is low anyway, shuffle the work over to C5. and have lots of brand new, low seniority people do the work, rather than lots of senior expensive employees at ExpressJet.

In fact, many of those brand new C5 low paid employees will be recycled higher paid pilots from XJT just looking for a lifeboat.

Has the mothership delayed the mainline furloughs waiting for another stimulus? or are guys on the street? I know the Voy couldn't wait to stick it to their pilots.

AA Master SL displays 896 Furloughs effective 01 Oct 2020. More on 01 Nov 2020 and 01 Dec 2020, for total of 1605. APA has activated a "Furlough Support Team", comprised of formerly furloughed pilots. Electronic presentations, town hall teleconferences, zoom, etc. Looks like good information covering many topics, unemployment compensation by state, several loan options, to include tapping 401K funds. Several programs to mitigate the total number/duration. Voluntary Permanent Leave of Absences, Zero Time lines, Alternating Monthly Schedules, 1/3/6/12 Month Voluntary Leaves of Absence, Stand in Stead, Voluntary Early Retirements.

    APA 10/21/20:

Membership Approves .5% Assessment for APA Furlough Medical Fund
The voting window for ratifying a .5% assessment to finance the APA Furlough Medical Fund closed at 11:59 p.m. Central yesterday.

By a vote of 3,691 for and 3,411 against, the membership has approved the .5% assessment. The additional .5% assessment will be reflected in Nov. 15 paychecks.

The Fund will assist eligible APA members who are furloughed due to the COVID-19 pandemic by reimbursing premiums or contribution costs for medical, dental, and/or vision coverage for up to 12 months. The assessment will continue for 18 months, unless terminated earlier by a vote of the APA Board of Directors. The assessment resolution, R2020-42 Rev 1, also authorizes the APA Board of Directors to extend the term of the assessment beyond 18 months in the event of further furloughs and a subsequent 2/3 majority vote of the Board.

On behalf of my fellow National Officers, I want to thank those of you who participated in the ratification vote. Active membership engagement is vital in navigating the current crisis and determining our path forward.

And retirements continues...2,700 in the next 3 years, assuming they all retire at age 65 or they stay another couple of years to see how is Doug Parker going to maneuver the current situation. I am sure those guys have seen this movie before. AA shrinking rapidly while Envoy approach the celebration of their 100th E175 delivery.🤔

AA Total “Active” Pilots count...falling rapidly.
🕰 🕰 🕰 with 3Q to be similar to 2Q and demand unchanged.

Not to be a naysayer, but how pathetic is this? Half a frickin percent and it barely passes!? The #FUPM crowd strikes again. To put it into perspective, when UAL passed their furlough fund, which was 1%, it passed 92-8 with 7801 YES votes. What a great pilot culture we have here...🙄

Unfortunately the strong, unified, defend the profession APA is gone. Too many airlines, so many senior pilots, so many mergers... let’s see how the “active pilots” behave once they have to deal with Bankruptcy & 11 U.S. Code  1113. Rejection of collective bargaining agreements.

USAir and their regionals have fully infected the APA with their nonsense. Real Eagle and nAAtives would never behave so shamefully.

The problems with the fund were the length of time (18 months) and the ability to have it extended without a membership vote, just BOD vote. And we are still paying a half percent for contract negotiations. Then any excess funds once the furloughs were recalled were to be kept by APA.

Exactly, that would not have happened with the old APA. The infusion of the USAPA East-West, and their regional spineless flows (outside of Real Eagle), nonsensical way of thinking is infecting what was once the strongest best union in the business.
Next thing you know they'll be wanting to join ALPA again...
