When AA merged/acquired/integrated with TWA...guess who ended up at the bottom of the list, guess who got furloughed...

APA is always looking for volunteers.

"A job is better than no job!". Over 10 years on the EMB-135/140/145, enough muscle memory to be a decent FO for you. Question is, Do you buy your FO's beer once and a awhile? I'm a good listener, you can tell me about 2021!

No need to tell anymore. 2021 arrived 10 months earlier thanks to the virus. What happened it was always going to happen. But not until 2021 & thereafter. Smaller fleet, less pilots, a VERY competitive contract, that APA pilots were not going to like, in other words a very competitive and productive right sized American. And even though this virus completely destroyed Doug Parker’s plan...it made it a lot easier for him.

Unfortunately the result will be the same, the only difference is you now you don’t have to wait another year to see it, and furloughs were not supposed to happen.

I repeat, furloughs were not part of the plan, they were not supposed to happen. What’s happening in the aviation industry, is historic, but in my opinion, it hasn’t started yet. We are all looking at the company's action, but everyone is waiting for their reaction. Newton’s third law.

“When your neighbor looses his job is a recession, but when I lose my job, is a depression.”

Soon, many pilots will lose their jobs, some of us have lived this story before. Is not pretty. We all should pray for a fast recovery. But we will recover.🙏🏼

After 9/11, it took AA 6+ years to recall the 1st furlough back, and 10 years to have their first new hire class. This is not a drill, this is not a game, this is about to get very ugly and real, wether is now or after September 30th...but is going to get real.

    Franklin D. Roosevelt once said..
"a day that will live in infamy", that is what it feels, when you arrive home from a trip, and there is a Letter from American in your mailbox. You know exactly what it is, but don’t want to open it. Then you look at your wife and kids, and wonder.

    🙏🏼

    How bout the Beer?

"I liked beer. I still like beer. But I did not drink beer to the point of blacking out, and I never sexually assaulted anyone," Kavanaugh said.
