Yea, heard retirements are picking up at American with 600 plus taking early retirements. They have to increase hiring now and accelerate the flow.

Now on the good news aa will retire permanently all 330, 757, 767, 190 and 65 737. I believe the number come to about 175 aircraft gone. We have not even talked about the old original 320 and 319 from America west via us airways to American.

The older 737’s originally were slated to be retired with the Max as replacements. It sounds like they just have moved up the timetable. Make no mistake though, AA will become a significantly smaller airline. How small and how fast is still in flux.

Only the A330-300s will be retired l. The others 330s will remain. The rest is correct though I donít know the number on the 737s

All of the block 1 737ís will probably be gone for good. Without looking it up, I think itís 76 airplanes.

The early 319ís and 320ís going away wasnít any secret for a while now either.

Itís just going to happen much faster.

What remains to be seen, is how they adjust the Eagle fleet to meet the scope restrictions. Barring CH11 they will have to park airplanes.

My money says NoOTís number of 10,000 active pilots is going to be pretty close when itís all said and done.

Interesting discussion about flow back on APC from panicky junior AA flows now facing a possible furlough. Wanting the best of both sides AFTER taking the risk and possibly losing.

    THAT was the risk.

so what, It won't happen. Taking the risk and losing at AA for a little bit is still better than staying at envoy.

Referring to the lost decade... they risked exactly this and the furlough to follow
