Actually they showed it last longest outside the body in cool temperatures. In warmer/hot areas the virus dies outside the body sooner, but even then is up to 3 hours depending upon the surface material. Not good, and still spreads easily... but it’s not as bad as it living 9 days outside the body in the right conditions.
    Either way, it still spreads.

The summer or warmer temperatures doesn’t change anything at all. Coronavirus infections have been spreading in equatorial climates like Singapore’s and in the Southern Hemisphere, now in the middle of summer.

it does change it. It spreads by contact with the virus, either from a person or a contaminated surface. It can’t live outside the body as long in warmer climates, so it decreases the window of opportunity for transmission from a surface contact infection, person to person is still possible.

The Coronavirus family is known that When it gets hotter, the virus doesn’t live as long outside the body. As few as 3 hours in warm weather on other surfaces. If people aren’t social distancing and self isolating it will continue to spread. In an optimum environment it can live 28 days on surfaces.... here:

So good to know there is a doctor in the house that is also an infectious disease expert who happens to double as a recruiter for a bottom feeding ACMI.

WELCOME BACK BROTHER!!!! We all missed you so much!!!!

    Ready to get furlough yet?
Love You Brah...welcome to early 2021.
And your seniority number is not safe to survive not even a little furlough...keep the good attitude... even people at HQ are going to get axed. Including all SA.

BTW “is going to get ugly” nothing personal, as always...just facts.

I guess all that “doom and gloom” thinking was a bunch of hooey, eh? Well, pucker up buttercup, because it’s going to get worse before it get’s better. Keep your chin up though Mongo. You still have your right hand and an E-175 picture to get you through the day.

He’s not a doctor either, but it’s rumored he played one in an elementary school play.

I am assigned to one of the RRTTs (Rapid Response Tiger Teams) and can tell you from the inside information I have and daily briefings I receive, nobody is positioned better than American to weather this crisis. You can't predict an event like this and I can assure you that this pause in hiring will be brief. What happens when hiring resumes? The flow through starts back up in full force. There is a whole lot of false information out there. I fully expect that from this medium but have decided to give you the knowledge that I can at this point.

Now in even deeper denial then the past I see. At the present rate, AA will burn ALL of its liquidity in less than 6-8 weeks and that is at present rate. It’s almost certain to increase. Then, they leverage the planes (their primary source of collateral). Loans and grants might help for awhile (burned first before cash & credit), but most of that will just be more debt. Someone is blowing smoke up your a$$, my boy. Look at what Delta and United are saying.

I have no doubt management is playing the band instruments on deck quite well, but don’t be fooled that the bow isn’t sinking toward the water line. As always (and especially in your case)...

    What’s in your savings account?

What he meant was (Rapid Response Cub Scouts Team) 9/11 furloughs took 10 years to get back...and this is already worst than 9/11.
Envoy will be looking for a few good men...Dacujs are welcome.

No, but I do have lots of medical folks in the family and as friends. They agree with what I’ve written.

It won’t stop the spread rate, but it will slow it.

Research the effect of temperature on CoronaVirus yourself. There is plenty of data already available.

I’m betting significantly more. Since testing is becoming much more available, the numbers will explode.
we need to do like Israel and allow CDC access to cellphone records. Currently you can be passing the virus for up to 14 days without even knowing you’re sick yourself. With the tracking, they pull your phone records of where you’ve been the past few weeks, and the new software identifies other cellphones that came within a specified distance of you. They can then test those people before they’re symptomatic and quarantine them before it spreads.

this is a bad bug, even those that recover are being found to have sustained what appears to be permanent lung damage at varying degrees of severity.
