AA Pilots’s “I want to go to back...”

    From APC:

“You folks are amusing. Let's see, you want flowback because you gave something upfront, yeah? no you did not. So parker is liking this, you are ready to give up pay and scope to flowback. You have just indicated to management how selfish and willing to screw each other you truly are.”

Is not what or how, is how deep the cuts & furloughs are going to be, and they are going to be VERY deep.

These are the same people that got big bonus money upfront and pay raises to the detriment of others and now they want to flowback. Sure, bottom of the list as an f/o, no credit for time here or at aa to be given for any reason kinda like the flow through.
Your momma ain't gonna help you here.

I wouldn't get too worked up about the flowback issue. The only pilots barking about it are those who are panicking because they shot craps and might lose (at least for a little while) such as the recent flows from the Eagle system. If they didn't understand the risks of going to the bottom of a 15,000 pilot seniority list at a company whose financials (and product) are in the dumpster, they do (or should) now. There is no methodology for flowback. Period. Furloughs may or may not happen anyway as the near future is impossible to predict. Besides, whatever staffing changes come to AA be it furlough or whatever, all Eagle's will suffer an equivilent fate. Even if AA gets financial help from the governement, it's still just more debt. Repayable debt, unless a future bankruptcy modifies that. Right now, the rudderless managmement at AA is just throwing anything at the wall that sounds good and another loan is fine with them. They will always take money considering they will be in bankruptcy without it and they likely want more time. It might get AA through the near future, but sooner or later that bill will come due and all that means for the junior at AA is they'll be more tethered to a sinking ship insofar as their AA advancement dreams go due to longer commitment and thus risk.

ALL of Parker's hopes, confident prognostications, and financial assumptions have now gone down the ****er and now it's just survival mode. It should be an interesting ride. As I've been saying for at least a year now...

To those still thinking of flowing to AA one day; caveat emptor.

To ALL pilots at AA or any Eagle; what's in your savings account?

You three dipsh|ts could just get your own group text going instead of playing on this website. Exchange numbers...get it going. You'd take 98% of the traffic away from this god forsaken website.

Hey slush shi+, why would anyone want to give flowback rights to the same pilots who screwed all to enhance their flow rate. They got what they wanted, now they want their mommy to protect them. Up your nose with a rubber hose.

Yet dill weeds like you keep coming back whining about 3 “dipshlts” he hates talking amongst themselves. My bet is there’s not much in your savings account. Perhaps it just may be that a dipshlt or two might have something worthwhile to say now and then and you’d be a stronger dill weed for listening?

    Caveat Emptor.

Maybe I'm alone, but I'd rather hit the street *like will probably happen soon* and find other work than flowback to that place. All the big fish in small pond syndrome over there is astonishing. Noooo thanks. I was a protected pilot.

It's the flow throughs started that here before flowing and then they carried out their b.s. on your side. Them are the facts.

Lets stay calm and not jump into conclusions. Let’s wait and see how many senior pilots jump in the LOA wagon.

Pilot’s 401k is taking a beating. Seniors are loosing the most. Wrong time to retire.
Time will tell how many senior pilots are willing to save the junior pilots from furlough by taking a pay cut and leaving money on the table, knowing they are safe because of their longevity.
Soon, you will find out how greedy they are and if they really care about the new hires.

But now the union can honestly say...”well, we tried didn’t work, sorry “It’s time.

On the other hand, I agree with you...It’s not happening.....yet.

Heard a rumor they’re looking at allowing everyone who flowed to flow back to their respective regionals, WITH THEIR SENIORITY INTACT, like they never left.

Sounds silly to me. Any reduction in ops will hit the Eagle system too, so if a contraction occurs at mainline, it will occur at the regionals at a similar proportion. AA is hamstrung in flexibility for anything other than long-term moves and that’s one reason the leaves are being offered. If AA gets more loans (more debt), they can kick the can, but AA is essentially nothing left BUT a can-kicker now. The FACT is (again) Parker shot craps and lost. He recklessly gambled AA’s solvency on stock buybacks leaving AA vulnerable to EXACTLY the very thing many have been saying they would be. In fact, even AA acknowledged the risk of widespread illness as a potential threat in their 10K’s....and here we are.

But, AA has indeed become too big to fail, at least completely, but that doesn’t mean MAJOR changes are at risk of coming, in fact likely to come. This whole situation is only a surprise to those who have either embraced a unrealistic pollyanna outlook or who have been in deep, deep denial. Our resident joker Dacuj being a hybrid. Now, the chickens have finally come home to roost and no one can predict what will become of this rickety coop called American Airlines.

To all: Caveat Emptor and as always, what’s in your savings account?
