    United to hire 10,000 pilots...

...over the next decade. Thereís becoming no excuse for qualified Envoy pilots to not aggressively explore the market to ensure they make the most informed choices regarding their long term careers. From my POV, 3 pilots who each start at Delta, United and AA on the same day would leave the AA pilot in distant third place on all critical career metrics over their career including compensation, QWL and job security. Thatís DISTANT third place. As a complete career employment package, the differences are set to be monstrous.

    As always.........Caveat Emptor.

With present attrition levels, how long will Wholly Owned be around, unless the plan is to let Envoy, PDT & PSA eventually shrink. More PRIA forms than Qualified applicants, not a good outlook.

"Drop Trip Sequence" SWA & Envoy still have it. Once you flow to AA, you will no longer have this option. IE: the PBS bidding system. If you come to SWA, you will continue the bidding system you know so well, and any trip touching your vacation week can be dropped. And, at SWA, if vacation touches your RES week, DTS doesn't just drop the particular days touching vacation, but rather the entire week.

Additionally, if you are on reserve, and are assigned a trip, you can put that trip on the "Give Away" board. With our Max's (10% or our fleet) being grounded, and our pilot's "not being furloughed" we have more pilots than we need. Result, desperate pilots take reserve trips from reserve pilots all the time.

same at Omni, plus we can slide to cover more trips.
