I've been asking this for a while. The question for future flows (and many present junior AA pilots), is not only what's in their wallets, but what's in their savings accounts. With AA's debt, marginal liquidity, the looming global issues and the increasing prospects for a global recession, both wallets and savings accounts will be at risk for these pilots.
Caveat Emptor.

And just FYI AA has terminated 5 flow through this year before there probationary period had ended. Mostly due to inability to work as a crew in the cockpit. Very poor reports from their captains ended their careers there during their probation review.

Of the five, what’s the number from each W.O.?

Could it be captain in the right seat syndrome?

I know of one recent flow (against their will) that most likely wont make it past probation if they somehow make it through training.

"What's in your wallet?"
What's in your Retirement Account(s)? United States retirement statics are grim, IMHO. Good Luck everybody.

I’d be shocked if the Git makes it very far into his AA career.

Now there was some luck on my part very fast upgrade at my shop, but looking at 3-4 years to WB FO, and 6-7 to NB CA, 12-15 years to WB CA if I would have flowed to AA, I will come out ahead in the end by making the move to my current airline. There are always a lot of variables that can change and in aviation they always do.

Not that it is a surprise. The breakdown would be nice if at all there is one.

The same can be said for guys going to Spirit, Frontier, Omni & Kalitta right away rather than waiting 8 years to flow. They’d be new CA earning over $200k in 2 years. Unless they’re very young, the career earnings favor moving up sooner to a mid-upper tier job, rather than waiting 8 years for the legacy job at the airline with worsening working conditions, lagging pay, and poor economics.
Gus need to run detailed spreadsheets and compare carefully.

It is amusing. Karma baby, nothing like karma.

They’re not flowing those guys quite yet. But VERY soon.
The best karma will be the guys that flow at the end of the retirement wave. They’re the ones that were treated as the chosen ones. Given swag. Big bonus checks. Ones that couldn’t believe we allowed ourselves to be 9 year FOs.

It is a different time now and you should realize that. At least now, Envoy new hires aren't like the old Eagle in that the pipeline guys have had lots of 121 specific training. Unlike the Hodge podge of 15 years ago where Virgil got hired after flying some 210 around with bank checks and Leroy who flee a Baron for XXX oil company for 2000 hours.
It would take these types YEARS to get up to speed with 121 ops where a pipeline new hire seamlessly moves to Envoy without a hiccup and is performing day 1. Makes sense that they see a short flow time due to their training.

Right and I bet you were in the lead. With that said, then you believe that those aa captains should leave now so your specialty trained 121 cadets can take over, correct.
AA cant go to the bottom fast enough.

LOL!
Yeah, 1000 hours of mostly day VFR time buzzing around the pattern and practice areas in 172's with a dash of Seminole time (a docile twin) is really seamless into flying a circling approach into KTVC on a nasty winter night with 3 miles in blowing snow, a strong crosswind and a contaminated runway or just as perilous, a nightime visual approach with no navaids. I always get a hoot out of your silly claims and assumptions. I have no doubt if you ever were forced into maiking a living as a turboprop Commuter pilot, you'd fail miserably in the attempt and quickly be back sucking on your crack pipeline, thumping your chest while tapping that big, bad Skyhawk and looking to the calm, blue sky with your pie-eyed student.
Dacuj........the Bob Hoover of VFR traffic patterns in the venerable 172. That is when you're not earning the Medal-of-Honor doging noisy blanks while running from CP to CP with a stack of blank papers.

I would expect nothing else from you. You can't fathom anything positive so you dam sure can't fathom the next generation of pilots coming up that far exceed the previous training regimens of the old school Eagle pilots. Seriously, lack of standardized cockpits, callouts, denigrating Captain's to the FOs. Like I said, it's a different time. CRM is important, not Billy Bob Captain riding a Saab like a cowboy with his own set of callouts, etc. On the other side, some new hire on day one on the Saab struggling with callouts and flows saying, "Hell, this isn't the way we flew the Baron at Circle X Oil."
Today's pipeline CFIs are trained from day one on the proper procedures, callouts, flows and being an equal part of the cockpit equation. I guarantee you they are ONE HUNDRED PERCENT more valuable than Billy Bob or his ex-Baron FO above. Envoy is getting the best and brightest and they are that way because they are trained correctly. After all, ol' Billy Bob don't wanna flow no way so if you can't purge his a** from the Envoy seniority list, that pipeline candidate dam sure belongs in front of him for the flow to American Airlines.

Wow! I’m honored to be trolled by DAcuj. It’s like I finally won my participation trophy.
Listen. I’m not mad at the chosen ones. It’ll be fun to ask them why they’re not switching to wide body, or upgrading when the music stops for them as they’re yanking my gear.
