Article was obviously written by someone with extreme bias against American and a h**d on for Delta. Someone like yourself maybe? Isom's comments in no way should be construed as "out of touch." He was stating realities and the plans to correct minor issues and get back on track. That's what any successful company does.

I’m sorry, but that doesn’t say anything. AA has had guys from southwest, delta and jetblue. Delta has had guys from jetblue, southwest and probably AA too. My friend over at SWA is the only one left from his class. His classmates bailed and went to other legacies. I’m sure it’s the same story over at UAL, FedEx and ups. It’s a pilot’s market. They go to legacy A while waiting out for B. It says next to nothing about the airline.

Ok? It’s likely. If I recall one went to FedEx and the other UPS. They wanted to fly heavies and were previous military. It’s not saying anything negative about SWA or any other airline out there. The whole point is that guys are moving from legacy A to B for a variety of different reasons.

Agree that is likely another attraction. Most pilots don’t research carriers enough to gauge the value of any given assumption of benefit though, so while that may appear as a benefit, in the case of AA, it is at high risk of evaporating as s reality in the future.
In regard to the assumption of AA’s retirement numbers translating into an actual advancement benefit, the check is most definitely in the mail. That check is signed by an entity known for bouncing them when it comes to promises made to pilots.

AAL is up over 30 days Flat over 6 months. And down 1 yr and 5 yr.
