In light of the recent announcement, I’d like to ask everyone to contact the A4A KCM Program Manager regarding the upcoming “enhancements” to KCM policies.
Call: 202-626-4028. I’m sure they’d love to hear from all of us. Please forward this number to your friends at other airlines as well.
The TSA is a joke...

Unconfirmed rumor implies that this “may” be temporary.
Not holding my breath.

unofficial rumor is non-uniformed person became a selectee.... sent to passenger screening. person ducked into rest room, put uniform on to keep gels and liquids, then cleared the standard screening line as uniformed crewmember. once inside, changed back into street clothes. later that day exited secure area, and went to KCM to reneter causing the flap....
apparently, if you are a selectee for extra screening, you arent supposed to be changing clothes and you are a selectee for the day at that airport, not just that one pass through.... both of which I'd never heard myself before either, so I really can't blame whomever this happened to.
Second rumor was an FA got sent for standard screening, and was found to have a large meat cleaver in her carry-on bag.
just rumor though, I really don't know
IMHO, I also think that the DHS/TSA review probably made them wonder why so many 135 operators are running around with KCM, when they don't operate from airline passenger terminals, and many don't even have uniforms beyond a logo polo shirt.

Question, if you are commuting with slacks and a polo shirt and selected for additional screening aren't you allowed the same stuff (liquids) as if you were in your uniform?

No, unfortunately if you are selected and aren’t in uniform, then you get treated like a regular passenger. That’s why I always just wear my uniform, even if I’m not working. It’s just easier than dealing with TSA. It’s a stupid rule though.

Actually, regardless of what you're wearing, after being selected as a random, you should've been given a card that allows you to go through with whatever you have in your bag as a crew member.... at least that how it was with me twice at 2 different airports.. but anything is possible with clueless, tsa interpretations..

Good let them dump KCM. Just stand in line and wait, when enough flights are late that will change. I would be concerned about a high school educated employee (TSA) than I would an airline pilot or FA.

I'm not comfortable revealing what I know from two different well placed sources here on a public forum. As you will see, there is now a temporary hold on the new policy.

“As you will see” like you were predicting that announcement.
News flash bozo, they’d already gone public with the announcement early yesterday.
Another swing and a miss credibility wise for you.

Notice to Known Crew Members
Please be advised that TSA is delaying implementation of the uniform requirement at KCM access points. Due to the overwhelming response of fragile ego pilots crying incessantly on social media, we feel the threat to U.S. National Security should be put second to the comfort and convenience of the sky gods. Now you sniveling brats can continue to go through the checkpoints wearing your crocs and khakis.
Effective August 27,2019 KCM-Authorized enhancement to Unpredictable Screening Procedures (USP) will be enabled. This means that even though you are not in uniform, we can still f#€k with you-just to let you know who’s still really in charge. NOTE: If the selected Crew Member exits the sterile and attempts to reenter through a KCM access point we will be sure to reidentify that Crew Member for USP. Because, f#€k you, that’s why.

^^^^ Haha!
Olga (TSA 2- stripper) "CA SlowHand, follow me for additional screening and cavity search".
Me (AA FO) "Yes Ma'am, I'm not a CA just an FO".
Olga "Whatever, Sweet Cheeks".
Post enhancement screening, SlowHand ponders that although Olga was a Supersized Plus "Lady", she had quick and deft hands.
