AA ranks 9th in flight attendant pay, just ahead of regional airline Skywest.

That’s the big mystery; How does AA motivate its front line employees ?

Apparently either Parker believes it’s not necessary or simply calling everyone “team members” is enough. An alienated front-line work force in a service industry isn’t a recipe for success. Something has got to give, because this can’t go on for much longer. The question is what and just as importantly when ? Parker essentially wants present mechanics to throw future ones under the bus and it looks like it’s shaping up that way for the pilots. The F/A’s are next. In the interim, the AA dog chases its tail, while the competition dogs surge ahead.

I was just shocked to see the ULCCs Spirit, Allegiant & Frontier ranked ahead of “The Largest Airline” in the world.

We should get used to that. Those carriers need to keep up close enough to Delta/United/Southwest to retain more junior employees, especially pilots and they will as they have no other choice. As they improve their compensation and work environments closer to the two leaders, AA will regress to approximate them making AA just another LCC. Of course, the others don't have 22 Billion in debt. Unlikely to ever change as that's simply how this operation is wired.

The resident Town Crier is most likely to respond with some sort of rant void of factual back up.
