The clock continues to tick for Mesa

Been keeping track of Mesa performance. Through this morning they have 155 cancellations this month. They currently operate 350 flights a day for AAG.
In a February article it was stated that if certain goals weren’t met by sometime next month, their flying would be reduced by six airframes over a specified time.

Yup. And I'll give you one guess where that flying will shift to. You guessed it. We continue to outperform every single carrier out there. Just more of many good things coming your way at Envoy.

I would be a hypocrite if I changed what I say after I flowed to AA. I said previously that when hired at Envoy, you are for all intents and purposes, an AA pilot. Even though I flowed, it's no different. I am on an even playing field with an Envoy pilot. AA and Envoy are the same. So, yes it's WE. I am just as concerned with what is happening at Envoy as what is going on at AA.

Actually heard from someone who works at PSA HQ that they’ve been told they’ll be opening a DFW base sometime this year.

I've heard early next year. But yeah, I think it's coming.

They were told that at least 3 months ago at psa.
Parker to grow envoy while psa lives, please. Heard there is a big announcement coming from aag tomorrow. Let's see how that shi+ hits the fan. Last time major growth, on weekends 1 flight.

PSA has already been scheduled to begin through flights early next year from eastern stations like TYS, CHA, and SAV to name a few. At first it was only a few a day. The number has now rumored to have grown to about a dozen. I wouldn’t discount possibility of them eventually having a DFW domicile, I just don’t see it happening within the next year. That being said, with Mesa’s embarrassing numbers anything could happen.

Same person told me Mesa finally lost the contract, that’s why PSA would have a base there...we’ll see

The problem to be solved everywhere is staffing. The planned fleet growth at PSA and envoy “might” be enough to cover 350 daily departures if Mesa is in fact done, but where will they find enough butts for the seats and also keep them filled?
I’m told the deadline for Mesa’s improved numbers is sometime next month.
    We shall see...

Oh there numbers will improve with a little adjustments, but psa will still be based in dfw.
Question how many hub bases does psa and pdt have because it just appears that the envoy hubs are infiltrated by everyone .

The regional pilot crisis is causing this Kabuki dance. Expect more of trying to plug the increasing number of holes in their regional dike. Water is knee deep now and rising.

Mesa stock down 38% on earnings. 2 AC being removed from AA contract due to not meeting performance metrics. Mgt blames external forces beyond their control.

    Correct.

The regional pilot crisis is intensifying and the weaker antelope won’t be able to keep up with the herd and will collapse. Some will outright disappear and others will be cannibalized, but ultimately all will weaken. Considering AA’s increasing over dependence on its regional system, it will be in worse shape as time goes on then competition who is going in the other direction. If there’s one carrier that needs every scrap of revenue it can get, it’s one with 2-4 times the debt of that competition.

Again to all junior AA and all Envoy flows, what’s in your savings account ?

100% of AA regional cancellations in DFW today were Mesa flights.
Out of those, 86% were maintenance and 14% for crew.

Pulling the flying back in-house from the vendors.... gee, where have I heard they’d do that before?
down the road comes the forced recycling of the smaller companies pilots when their jobs vanish from being drawn back in-house.

You easily make my point. Why in the world would you go anywhere besides Envoy?

Seems like you would love to have a crack at getting back here.
