    LA rumor growing legs again

Delta has announced theyíre not renewing their contract with CPZ. That leaves them with just 20 hulls flying for AAG. Not a very cost effective operation.
Somethings gonna give soon, but who knows how itíll all play out.

The first question is what limits AA scope will put on any ability to add more large RJís to the Eagle system.

Actually the 20 at compass are part of the aag total large rj count. So whomever gets them if they leave compass wont change to total hull count its included.

But as snack pointed out, 20 jets isn't a very cost effective operation. They'll need more. If they can't add more to beef up their AAG relationship due to scope, then what ? Transfer of jets flown elsewhere to them ?

Not thinking this scenario is likely.
CPZ is a property of Trans States Holdings. Delta also announced that GoJet CR7s will be transferred to SkyWest. This leaves GoJet and TSA flying CRJs and the old 145s for United, and the AAG owned 175s at Compass.
I wouldnít be surprised if this isnít the final nail in the coffin for TSH.
Their maintenance has been subject of more than one FAA surprise inspection over the years. People that where at Eagle back in the day will remember getting 10 145s back from them after a semi long term lease. The maintenance folks in Abilene found all sorts of crazy stuff wrong while doing conformity checks to get them back on the Eagle certificate.
With their history, one could only come to the conclusion that those 175s havenít really been well taken care of.

The man does have a brain! Welcome to the critical thinking party my friend! As for the nutjob know it all, I can't believe he didn't know this. ?????

You are absolutely correct. I've been saying for the past two years it's not a matter of IF, it's a matter of WHEN Envoy takes back those 20 175's and opens LAX. It's no secret that AA wants these birds with Envoy as they are their most reliable wholly owned partner and can easily handle whatever flying out of LA that AAG wants. Great service, great maintenance, on time. That's Envoy for ya. Look for the bid around the end of the year to open LA.

Or just like the new base Envoy would be opening last year?

Rumor floating around Compass is that they're picking up United flying.

Blowing more smoke out of your outflow valve, I see. Envoy is dancing as fast as they can just to staff the planes they do have, so a sudden acquisition of already scoped out birds will be fun to watch. Envoy can fly them under present scope as they already exist, but pilots ? But, again back to the point which speaking of points, the one on top of your head prevented you from noticing my question of whether they can fly just 20 planes and make it work. If they canít, which is likely then someone else gets them or someone else acquires them and their pilots. Envoy doesnít have the pilots, so........

Prolly will go to another airlines feeder network though as AAG continues to spin their wheels in the mud. Youíve been touting LAX for years now and zip. Par for the course with you, though.

Only operate 20? How about 20 PLUS another 84. Guess you didn't know we were already flying the 175. Nope. Not going to another feeder. I could give some detail but don't feel comfortable doing it here for obvious reasons.

You truly are an imbecile, aren’t you. I was referring ONLY to Compass. Pull your head out of your ass and read for a change......you might just realize something.

As I said over two years ago. The mainlines would consolidate their regional feed and begin pulling the flying back to their mainline and WO.
Said it could force pilots to recycle themselves as smaller outfits lose their CPAís. Itís happening.

Donít act like youíre the only one that was predicting this. Numerous industry analysts and folks that post in various forums also have been saying the same thing.

I said it back when the company still wasn’t even admitting a shortage was coming and instead demanded additional concessions.....

Yeah, the same people who’ve been saying 50 seat jets are going away for the past 18 years.........They’ll eventually be right.

We told them they’d get their concessions just in time to have to give it all back. It took six months before they started.

We told them it was a mistake to close MIA and NYC, and in the NY case even went so far as to say they’d be back within a year.... it was a year and one month.

We told them their TA would fail miserably, it did.

Everything we told management would happen, has happened, even though they said we were wrong wrong wrong.

Kinda sucks when the union sees industry direction better than management. These clowns can’t run anything. Their little more than administrative maintenance technicians that have an MBA in adding grease and oil to the machine somebody else built.

This might be the fire sale the AAG is looking for. Why struggle with a carrier who has the FAA scrutiny? Cherry pick the people they want and recall the airplanes. Under Bob Crandall's regime It came close with Metro Airlines. Eventually Metro fell under the AMR/AAG banner for a fires sale price. It could happen again.
