Speaking of National, BC is still on our active seniority list. One would think he’d at least give enough of a crap to speak out on this subject.
I think everyone should email him personally and tell him what the environment here is really like from an actual line pilot’s perspective.

The last time this pilot group had representation that even approached a somewhat satisfactory level was pre ‘98 and the 16 year deal that brought about the original flow agreement. It was a huge win for ALPA because it minimized the resource expenditures for Eagle since the contract’s length just required basic custodial attention. Leadership at the MEC level had little to do other than deal with contract compliance, defending pilots, manning various committees etc.
Then came the “Capitulation Cartel” aka Tony G. and the snack pack, CLG. After they left this place a smoldering heap, successive leadership positions have been filled with folks who are afraid to rock the boat for fear of being targeted and potentially not being allowed to flow.
One has to wonder whether or not ALPA
National really has any interest in spending any more than the bare minimum to keep us under their representational umbrella.
Think about it this way, all 3 WOs have the flow which means in eventuality all the pilots will become AA pilots represented by APA and thus no longer paying ALPA dues. Why spend anything more than the absolute minimum on a group of people that are only temporary members of the association?

    Bingo

there ya go letting their dirty little secret out of the bag.....

they also didnt want us going Comair II, since BC at National would be unemployed.... hence their interest in a deal, even a concessionary one... and their dislike for reps that wanted to fight not roll over.
