Lots of big talk and bluster about a dirtbag operator. Trying to make yourself feel better?
Me thinks that if ENY offered you a job today, you would be all over it like flies to ****. You would upgrade on the first vacancy and flow to AA a few short years later. Far, FAR better than what you describe above.

    Almost immediate upgrade ?

Maybe, but from most reports to a lifestyle of misery unless you live in a tent complete with hot plate at the airport fence by LGA.

Flow to AA in three years ?

Now, THAT is “big talk and bluster” and from a dirtbag source, no less.

LAS & IAD are not the exact same schedules as general population which is most guys.

The average gen pop guy gets an 18 day line and scheduled 16 reserve days. That becomes 15 days away next year. Their 2 Over ride days are always at the beginning or end and they aren’t used, it’s too expensive. Day 1 (sometimes it’s day 2) is your trip notification with your DH the next morning. The last day is always your positive space home. So, of the 16 days, you’re only away from home 15, two of those 15 are travel days which is your commuting unlike Envoy and other 121 passenger carriers. Next year that will drop 1 more day. At Eagle your 15-16 days doesn’t include commuting, and from what hearing about start and finish times many are coming in or going home on their days off using hotels or crashpads, we don’t do that. Travel day front and back are part of the 16.

Basically, home 2 weeks, gone two weeks, repeat... unless you alter your bid. You can play it to get 4 weeks off over transitions, or if you live in China, play it to put both trips back to back to do month on, month off. Some lines are broken into two blocks of 8 or so days each again including travel days at each end. If you drop to one week before your next trip, the time off afterward changes from two weeks to three.

Its actually much much better than it sounds.

Youre nuts. I’d never go back to that abusive treatment. AAG is the biggest dirtbags in the industry and apparently everybody but you knows it. Every other legacy is better to work for, and I got news for you pal, Omni is great to work for.

The BIG complaint the union is dealing with is that the crew meals may not be packaged as nicely as before. Meanwhile at Envoy and even AA it’s a different story all together. Lots of contract issues, grievances and BS. We have a happy pilot group, AAG doesn’t.

You have to understand dacuj, the delusional airline pilot and famed war hero, he has nothing to show for his efforts. Supposed he is at aa but spends time a lot of time here supporting flow, envoy and aa, good for him but he has no answers to question just hateful answers, demeaning others for their opposing views.
Ah if this was the old military we all would discuss this behind the barracks as gentleman.

You do realize in your similie you represent envoy with **** that only attracts flies? Also not the first time you’ve made that comparison. Freudian slip or are you sending signals to those who read between the lines?

To be clear you think of those who would buy your pitch and accept employment at envoy as ****-seeking flies?

Word has it he wasn't even a soldier in his simulated battle re-enactments, let alone an officer. He was an unarmed gofer who ran messages between CP’s until he was demoted to ammo organizer (blanks) when he couldn’t be trusted with transmitting info.

    How embarrassing.

That truly is embarrassing and he could not do the honorable thing because they would not allow him to play with sharp things.

Interview Invites just started going out. January interviewers are getting April class dates. The invites currently going out now are for May interviews. If you haven't gotten a TBNT email, then you are still under consideration.

Omni will be at both the OBAP and FAPA job fairs in Las Vegas on March 29 & 30.

Sshhhhhhhh, careful, they are kicking the door down at envoy to get hired because they are american airline pilots when hired at envoy. That's what dadouce is going to say.

Yep, no doubt about that. My only point is that there are great jobs out there. Guys shouldn’t wait to flow. The three big LCC’s are even a great career in their own right. If a guy lived in their bases, they’d have a better quality of life at JetBlue than flowing to AA. I’d say the big three aren’t the only games in town anymore for a rewarding life.
    UPS
    Delta
    United
    Fedex
    American
    southwest
    Omni & Kalitta
    Jetblue
    Spirit
even Frontier & Alegiant are now somewhat decent jobs...

the top six on the list generally are regarded as the best, but aren’t necessarily the best quality of life. If you do not live in Base, then only two on that list will never require jumpseat commuting, living in crashpads, or buying your own hotels in base. Only two will make you executive platinum, mosaic, and everything else on most airlines so you vacation on real tickets, not standby travel. Only two will give you enough hotel points to travel in good hotels across the globe virtually free.

Atlas would be a place you can get into now with lower time that will drastically change once they get their new contract, which will happen. Then it will be hard to get an interview there too once that happens.

    Lots of fodder for DaDouche...

Just finished the first year here. Amazing difference from the regional world and Envoy. Flew to Honolulu on the 2nd, and am heading back to Vegas tomorrow. Then I have a week of paid long call in Vegas, racking up Hilton points and seeing the sights. Man, life is good.

Sorry DaDouche.... AA just ain’t a better lifestyle at all. I do no more than 8 legs a month with my RON time off in Vegas or Honolulu... I’m on permanent vacation. Never have a trip with less than two nights sleep after a single flight.

Once the kid kid is out of school, the wife and he are coming to work with me. We get the Vegas hotel the whole duty block, even the days we’re in Honolulu, so if I can’t get them on both the flights out and back, they can just stay in Vegas the 2-4 days. A few other guys do the same with their families.

Anybody flying into Vegas this week, give me a shout.

PS - But we do have in range calls for 25-35 wheelchairs on each flight it seems....
