    Hedging their bets because they KNOW there is a pilot shortage, especially street captains ?If concern is strong enough where $113K and a promissory note to flow to AA in 6 years or so is necessary and doesn’t cut it, what will ? 150K and a pony ?

    Most regionals don’t have Envoy’s problem of a built-in pilot staffing drain of up to 300+ pilots/year, especially captains. I think Envoy is just about at the point of maximum outlay and the regionals are basically at or near the point of operating at a loss which is the opposite of their purpose. Without big daddy AA’s deep pockets and flow promise, Envoy would likely be bankrupt by now.

    Can envoy survive more than 4 years, with over 12,000(cumulative) retirements at US Mainline passenger and Cargo Carriers by 2022?
