Are you asking? Medical goes up 1% every year.

2019 will effectively bring pay cut, just like the preceding 3 years with the 1% increase in medical contribution. Coming into 2018, we began getting the 1% pay raise. Each pilot would have to see how a 1% bump in your pay rate compares to a 1% bump against medical contributions. Pilots higher up the pay scale with the lower cost medical plans are obviously less adversely affected than a year 1 FO paying for the top medical plan.

Medical contribution increases go through 2020. So not until 2021 unless Envoy/AAG feels like increasing pay rates at Envoy in the meantime.

Don’t forget inflation. At an average annual 3% increase, pilots who don’t experience any longevity step increase on rates see their earning power decrease by an equal amount. The Envoy pilots primarily truly ca$hing in these days seem to be new pilots who have little or no tenure at Envoy which again, isn’t to benefit pilots, but solve the company’s self-inflicted staffing conundrum, for without those big bucks being thrown out to pilots who don’t work for Envoy yet (along with the flow carrot to be cashed at some future point), there would be few pilots knocking at the door.

The catalyst that makes this bailout work is of course a union leadership who have become flaccid enablers to their own disregard. Sad indeed.

Our percentage of the total pie goes up 1% this year. But the pie might be bigger also. It usually doesn't get smaller.

The percentage of the pie we pay doesn't go up after 2020. But the actual costs may still go up.
