Again, read that claim. It says “113K First-Year Salary”. I believe it was Dacuj that posted the 5 year (6 ?) table of income. That table (and this ad claim) includes per diem to fluff the numbers, but per diem is NOT salary. The addition of per diem (a variable figure that cannot be accurately quantified) keeps the post 1st year figures especially high. For accurate comparison with other carriers, make sure to add equivalent per diem to their figures if not included. It also includes what appears to be a matter-of-fact claim of guaranteed flow in a certain time. Pilots in the past (both Letter 3 and post Letter 3) were told the same thing (flow to AA in the 5 year range) and not a single flow to date has even come close to that realization of that claim (some feel “promise”) with the exception of the first 124 Letter 3 flows pre 9/11.

Again, the term “Caveat Emptor” is appropriate to properly evaluate the claims being made. When obvious embellishment and inflation is being used in advertising and recruitment, I can only ask should one really trust what they are being told or the entity doing this ? Considering an employer, buying a car or shopping for fast food, there is no difference. To be fair, other airlines use the same tactics, so this criticism (and it IS based on fact) applies to other carriers besides Envoy. Again, not saying don’t come to Envoy, but if you do, just know and accept what you are choosing and temper your expectations, not based on inflated claims, but factual reality and past practice and results.

......and a supposed union that allows new pilots not even qualified being paid more than those with higher seniority EVEN IN THE SAME BID STATUS.

You just can’t make this stuff up anymore.
