Hearing they’ve cancelled all flights last night and this morning. Any idea what happened?
    Rumor is computer issues.

Interesting that the only answer so far has been a technical issue.
What type of technical issue takes out only one portion of aag w/o in one aag hub. Sounds like someone kicked the plug out and they can't find it to fix.

Flights still being cancelled days into this mess. They hope to be back to normally scheduled ops by the weekend.

They won't. It will be not until end of June before they are 100 percent back.

Oh well. Can’t say I’m surprised. As a wholly-owned operation, you’d think the maestro’s in DFW would have a Plan for this. I guess not.

Word from sources over there is their in house IT department was given a fairly expensive control facility a couple years back that is at the root of the issue. Not a tech geek so a lot of what was said went over my head.
Things continue to be worse than expected this far into the event.

AA finally identified what was at the root of the problem — the collapse of PSA’s crew scheduling system that enables the carrier to properly assign and track flight crews.
