Had someone in the JS yesterday that filled me in on this. Is it true? What's going on there?

More or less that’s what I’m hearing.

Basically that Chris has become a tyrant company man. Didn't like Denise, he was involved in making job description changes for her position, which ultimately led to her forced retirement. I heard two assistant chief pilots quit as soon as they heard. Basically that Chris has become a pilot pusher, and even though his fingerprints weren't on it, was directly involved in the infamous fuel memo. Also giving step letters for non events, which directly affect the pilot's flow career.
This is what I was told, take it for what it's worth. I was given a step 2 by Chris right before I flowed, for something that didn't deserve it. I didn't fight it because I was going to be gone very soon, but he was in the wrong in my opinion, and was basically faulting me for not flying fatigued.

He flew as my FO years ago...struck me as a weak pilot...looks like he’s a weak manager too.

I have doubts that a Chief Pilot can terminate or force retire anyone without some serious involvement from other elements in the company. Managers can’t just go around canning people. There is a process to everything in a company this size to prevent/mitigate lawsuits. There always needs to be consensus on these types of situation.
My guess is that there had to be a pretty significant trail of recorded performance issues, HR consults, interaction with managers above the supervising manager, etc. He can’t just wake up one morning an fire someone...especially someone that is well-known throughout the flight ops department.
Believe what you want about Chris, but I’ll bet there’s more to the story (that we will likely never know due to HR confidentiality).

Chris is a terrible chief pilot but Denise was a power tripping flight attendant. I’m conflicted.

So where did she land? Flying the line?

She’s always been nice to me. He leaves a lot to be desired as a chief pilot in my opinion.

I will say this..... In my tenure here- she has been nothing but fake nice and off and on rude towards me. With that said- she kept that office running behind the scenes more than most will ever know and whenever I had an issue or problem- she had it fixed usually by the end of the day or before I even left the office. Regardless of what happened or what went down- I wish her the best. As well as the best to the office- they will have a hard time replacing someone with her years of experience and knowledge of the inner workings of the airline. It will be a bumpy road for awhile I’m sure though. Either way- stay positive and things always have a way of working out. Eventually...

Total BS! You should not post if you don’t know the story. She was fired but was able to resign so she could keep her travel benefits but she can not and is not collecting unemployment pay or insurance. Get your facts straight

Why did she get canned? I heard a captain that was letting FO's fly from left seat getting canned as well.

Well that capt knew the consequences.
My question is the fo still employed since they also violated far's and company policy.
