How many will flow from Envoy that year?

    With this formula:

"Post TA" 12/24/2014 DOHs Ė Lesser of 25% hired in a year, or 5 training slots +1 for every 125 pilots over 480 (unchanged)

If AA hired 600 a max of 150 flows for that year from a Envoy - itís pretty clear... 600*0.25... and thatís the same language that existed in 15-01.

Edit: thatís at current staffing level, but it would be fewer if our seniority list drops below 1480 pilots (according to quick math)

600 wouldn't be even close to covering the mandatory retirements of 840+ that year so that's a poor example. And it depends on the size of the seniority list. There are 2400ish on the list here right now. So just say it was that size that year and AA only hired 840ish that year, then Envoy would flow 200 something.

No one said they will hire 1 for 1 to match retirements. You can expect 20 percent less hires than retirements. AS is fat. US mgt don't like it.

A 2500 pilot seniority list yields a monthly meter of 22 (2500-480=2020;;2020/125=16.16 rounds up to 17, +5 for the 480 and you get to 22). 22*12=264 in the year. If AA hires more than 1,056 you would get the full amount, but, for example, if AA only hires 1000 you would get 250 (25%), or if the hire 800 you get 200 flows.

That is my understanding, at least.

139 planes to be park in 24 months.
    🤔🤔🤔
No need to furlough, retirements will take care of that.

    Parking more than firm orders.

Are you asking this because you donít have access to a current seniority list?

Do you think you could make posts that arenít in code? Itís hard to bust out my enigma machine everytime you decide to post...

Supposedly, the 737’s are slated to stay now. AA will contract slightly, but will still hire as they are just using the pilots to fly more hours.
