Given that they have stopped the referral program, I guess they think they should be able to staff these birds no problem.

Hoping they’ll get some TSA and ExJet pilots and they’ll probably get a few. But over the long run (years) Envoy will fall well short of pilot needs to staff the airline like Dacuj claims will be 3,000-3,500 pilots (essentially the old network size). Clearly, they screwed up and are simply trying back-peddle to where they were before they screwed up, i.e., same fleet size, pilot cadre, domiciles, etc. The focus of the Eagle system will be on the large RJ’s which will stay bumped up against AA scope, but the smaller RJ’s will be where the melting occurs. Remember, if it’s flow to AA an Envoy pilot is concerned about, it’s what occurs in the long-run and for many pilots, it’s many years till they might get served the AA carrot and in this business and ESPECIALLY with what Envoy will need to achieve to get them there, that’s a lifetime.

Their best hope is continued PCP by most pilots.

    “Whispers” ? Isn’t that a term close to Dacuj’s heart ?

Unless that’s taught in Smoke Blowing 101 at Huckster University and you both attended, there is no “both”. DaFan, watch those flaps 40 landings......they can be tricky !

Mesa flies to several cities in California from PHX but they do not operate one single flight from LAX for AAG. It's all Skywest and Compass.

I donít imagine PDT mtx would have a prayer keeping them flying when they seem to have issues with the perfectly good airplanes we have given them so far, so Iím sure we will be stuck with them.
If I remember correctly part of the more recent deal with TSA didnít allow TSA maintenance to touch the Eagle aircraft for the reasons you mentioned. It was all in one of the Special Today @ Envoy a couple years ago when they were in the middle of giving all our airplanes away and closing NYC and MIA

They didn’t do the heavy checks but they still handled the day to day mtx.

The melting is coming anyhow. 600BK is close to hitting the cycle limit to be inducted into the aging aircraft program. In the past we just assumed that would be the end of its life as the cost of the initial inspection was more than the airframe was worth. We will see what PDT does with it.

Along with these additional 145s will bring a new base that hasn't been mentioned in the past. And we're not even talking about the Compass 175s and LA here.

    15 new 175s
    15 additional 145s
    Increased flow

I'd say that things have taken an even better turn for the better as of late. AAG loves Envoy and the plan is to continue adding aircraft. More CA slots and more flow.

Now all they need to do is manufacture about 4000 pilots over the next 6-7 years JUST for Envoy for todayís new hires to have a confident chance of flowing by then. That and a magic wand and a lot of fairy dust to ensure no global, domestic or industry setback occurs impacting this industry.

Ok, I can buy that considering mainline is likely to bail on BOS as a hub/domicile. Just like NYC and San Juan, Boston is not AAís anymore.
