    Now 15 E145 returning to Envoy

    Friday May 4th, 2018.

    "American just informed us that we can expect another 15 Embraer 145 (E145) aircraft to join the Envoy fleet in the coming months, with the first aircraft arriving after this summer and the remainder transitioning in monthly through early 2019.

    American has elected not to renew its contracts with ExpressJet and Trans States, and Envoy will take over the aircraft from Trans States. Once the wind-down of those agreements is completed, American will have seven regional partners, down from 10 at the beginning of this year."

    PDT has claimed them they are just coming here for a heavy check, new interior and wifi (at envoy cost) and off they go to pdt.

    Iím thinking that would be the best possible scenario. The last time we brought those planes back from TSA it took years to unf@ck them. The reconformities/heavy checks caught a ridiculous amount of shoddy and illegal repairs, but they donít catch everything.

    I donít imagine PDT mtx would have a prayer keeping them flying when they seem to have issues with the perfectly good airplanes we have given them so far, so Iím sure we will be stuck with them.

    This plus the 15 new 175's coming. Just waiting for the dipsh*t brigade to show up en mass and school everyone on how this is bad for Envoy pilots.

    I believe we will get there 20 175s, but I don't think we will see LA anytime soon. They will keep Skywest and Mesa flying there to cover the flying while they assign those birds to Miami.

    Their*

    And thatís been a rumor for years. Even if we do get the compass 175ís why would they have envoy fly them in lax? Mesa and Skywest both have an lax base, both have flown for aa out of lax, and both have a 175 program. Not saying it couldnít happen, eventually, just asking why envoy would build a base there.

    It is bad. We can barely staff what we have now. Getting more planes just gives management more excuses to continue to meter flow. I'd rather have planes removed from Envoy so we can flow faster. #flownotgrow

    Now thats,a dream. Read your contract. It will go from 25 to 15 plus% = max 22.
    If you want to take a 15% pay cut to increase flow go ahead.

    It isn’t bad in and of itself, but it also isn’t something that proves Envoy’s future is certain. Envoy is slated to become more E-175’s and less smaller RJ’s as time goes on. That is nothing new, nor nothing different with these latest announcements. Envoy will also funnel CR700’s out and add E-175’s and is even going so far to add E-145’s (for now), meaning Envoy will not necessarily grow over time even though they want to. It may grow and then contract (ebb and flow) periodically, but Envoy will continue to have pilot staffing issues and shows zero interest in changing their culture also meaning the future is shaping up to be the past;

    Same B.S., same fluff, but for pilots...........well, also the same as the past. A few more jets here and there, which let’s face it has occurred multiple times in the past and didn’t change anything then, nor will it now. Most benefits will NOT go to most Envoy pilots and flow will have no choice but to trickle at minimum rate, despite the shower of fetid and festering fluid from the blowhole of the floperoo.

    Mesa does not have an LAX base.. Skywest would be the sole operator if we get those planes and with Skywest now taking over XJT flying @ DFW I don't think they will be covering Compass flying in LAX. I could be wrong though..
