    More E175s to Envoy

    May 3rd, 2018

    Dear Envoy Team:

I have great news to share today, as American has just announced that it is adding another 15 Embraer 175 (E175) aircraft to the Envoy fleet starting next year, with options for 15 more E175s in the future.

This is in addition to the 10 E175s currently on order that will begin arriving later this year. These new orders will begin arriving in March 2019, bringing Envoy’s E175 fleet to 69 by the end of 2019.

I think it is good news for those captains intending to remain at Envoy for their careers as it does get them into nicer equipment even if most of the extra revenue generated by those 26 seats over clapped out 145’s goes to the company. I suppose 75 or so future new-hire pipeline F/O’s can also smile at getting into the Crown Jewel as well. For the rest of the Envoy pilots though, I don’t see all that much to sing and dance about. Congrats to those who will benefit, at least in some small way.

900's went 24 to 15, and E75 went from 0 to 15. P.R. department just a little out of synch

The pay banding line gets adjusted quarterly. When we give the rest of our CRJ’s away, these 175’s might not change the pay band much.

We had 46 crj's, as the crj's leave and e75 arrives when the number exceeds 46 the pay band is expanded. So yes it must have started to expanded 12 months ago. But we have no idea what the mec has done behind the scenes.

Don't worry, more 4 leg to 5 leg days on sequences showing up on the 737 including an increase red eye trans cons.
The flow won't stop because they ordered these aircraft, with the 3 w/o's aircraft retiring in the next 6 years, there will be a reduction of regional fleet size at w/o's. Makes room for growth at mesa skywest and republic.

Careful or you will be ostracized for that kind of non p.c. remark. We may have a few here start crying for mommy.

I believe Embraer 175 is a much better product considering similar prices.

"One of the deals is with Canadian manufacturer Bombardier for 15 CRJ900 aircraft with an option to buy 15 more. That deal has a price tag of approximately $719 million.
The other deal is with Brazilian manufacturer Embraer for 15 E175 jets with a price tag of approximately $705 million."

Passengers prefer the 175 over the 900 for obvious reasons.

There is a video on jetvoy.my where Isom talks about future of nonWO carriers. In short, he says down the road to expect as much flying to the WOs as possible with probably a few large non WO carriers. Costs no longer sole factor, performance and quality also matters a lot.

More good news for Envoy. We are going to keep growing. With the flow upped, by far its the best choice out there.

If the wholly owned regionals grow 30% can we expect the monthly number flowing each month to increase 30% as well? Nope

Looks like a ploy to scare pilots from non wholly owned to bail and come over to a wholly owned.....nothing more.

It was increased to amount that they SHOULD OF BEEN FLOWING in the first place.

You make it should like they gave us something out of the goodness of their hearts. Keep burying your head up their asses.

    Big surprise............blame the victims.

This pilot group has stepped forward and lived up to their expectations for years.......even decades and has been short-changed CONSISTENTLY for it and gets thrown a few scraps and you crap on them once again for being ungrateful. News flash flipper, the flow “increase” wasn’t for the benefit of the pilots so much as a mechanism to assist management with delaying their imminent crisis. Pilots gave things up to get another pilot per week to AA (theoretically) and some got zip, that being those that aren’t flowing.

I used to think you characters took courses in how to be blue-ribbon a-holes, but now I’m convinced it’s something you’re born with (personality disorder) and have simply found a host to support that existence.
