No rumors, just a question guys.

If two ALPA regional airlines merge/ “acquisition”, is date of hire the norm?

ALPA merger policy was revised after the US Airways/America West merger debacle. DOH is not used, but rather a combination of factors including status and category, career expectations and longevity. If negotiations don’t produce an agreement, arbitration occurs.

Good point, however that wasn’t a “merger”, but an “asset acquisition with an offer of employment”. As such, there was no protocol for seniority integration. Different unions, each with different objectives, so no framework for cooperation and consensus. What really went wrong for TWA pilots was not APA’s heavy-handed approach, but ALPA nationals willingness to throw them under the bus in the hope of wooing AA pilots over to ALPA. The value of your point is that Envoy’s future could also involve a transaction not covered by ALPA merger policy and thus be in a similar situation as the TWA pilots were.

Again, IMO that’s another reason why I think a flow that will take many years to receive payment on is risky, at best, especially considering the impending dire situation the regional industry finds itself in and the likelihood of major changes that are unanticipated at present.

    Caveat Emptor.

There no shortage, it's just for public consumption to attract from other companies. Just an opinion

Hva- pilots with 1000 hours 121 experience. The company calls them DEC (direct entry captains). We call it hva cause of a badly worded email.

I don’t know what you mean by how senior envoy is compared to psa. Once on property isn’t everyone senior to you? Or are you asking about median years on property?

PSA has junior pilots hence why 2014 hires are flowing and we're flowing 2007 hires.
