Has anyone here signed up for HSA? Have you received your funds yet in your Optum Bank HSA account? Mine is still showing zero and it's been over a week since the first disbursement. Envoy benefits center is not responding to my email and the automated phone system is just atrocious, I gave up trying to get through to a live person...

Yup. Mine shows $2650 and some has been deducted from my pay stub.

How could it be so much? They just started it. You're not taking able flex account, are you?

Not possible to have $2650 already. They must be talking about flex. My HSA is also showing zero, but Iíve been to lazy to look into it. I thought I would give it another week or so.

Thanks. Guess it's not just me. Perhaps they'll be depositing once a month which is crap.

Thought it was just me, been wasting away on hold with the benefits center for the last 30 minutes. Guess I'll just give it another week. Shouldn't we have the full balance available at the beginning of the year for the HSA?

No, because it's your pre tax deduction and it's cash. So it's only whatever you put in, as you go. But it's outrageous that the money isn't yet available because what the hell, it's my money. I have prescriptions to fill.

This was addressed in some publication somewhere, but the jist of the HSA money not being there is because the FSA money carries over from the previous year. Whether or not you still have money in your FSA account from 2017, and then opted to switch to the HSA, you wonít see that HSA contribution money showing available until the FSA carryover period expires in March. This is due to the IRS not allowing someone to have access to 2 separate pre-tax medical savings accounts.

The money will be deducted from your check, and is technically in your HSA account, just the balance will not show until the FSA carryover has expired.

Also the difference between Flex and HSA is that Flex is fully funded Jan 1. HSA is funded as you go just as the dependent daycare account is. So you wonít have any funds in the HSA until they are deposited from your paycheck deductions.

I signed up for FSA(HSA) card as well. I looked back over my benefits and it doesnít show up. For those that have it, does it show on the benefits youíve selected that option?
