I think that having large classes is a good thing as even if flow is metered they are still, slowly, moving people over. If we were unable to get any new hires, eventually they would just stop the flow (this may still happen).

What management fails to see is that by working together with the pilot group to improve QOL they are unable to get the maximum productivity from pilots and be able to project what there staffing levels for any given day will be. While most people complain about not having POs and PVDs approved the reality is the pilots are still taking the time off. But they do it by calling in sick at the last moment, leaving Crew scheduling and the rest of us to pick up the pieces.

A better approach would be to approve as many of those requests and then use your reserve pilots more effectively. And wouldn’t it be nice for Crew scheduling to actually have us answer the phone when they call, even on our days off, to see if we might want to work a trip. Instead we are laughing at the number and giving it the proverbial finger knowing that if we answer it’s a gotcha no you have to work.

The cheerleaders are right that we have industry leading flow, metered to the bare minimum, par to leading pay for years 1-2, and descent hiring numbers. But they fail to acknowledge the bitterness and spite that runs through the group. Or the fact that at mainline they’ve acknowledged that there is a huge moral problem among Envoy pilots. To the point where in their indoc classes they specifically talk to those pilots and refer to the point that Envoy Pilots suffer from Envoy management induced PTSD.

There are many steps that management could take that would greatly affect our moral and would cost them little to none. But right now they are able to get the results they want by squeezing the group as a whole and therefore there is no incentive to fix anything.

It's a new year. Try to be really positive looking ahead. Good things are happening here. Just look back over the past 3 years especially and see the explosive growth we've experienced. Thus the need for a 3000+ pilot group. Couple that with the new bases we've opened and going right to the left seat for qualified guys is just icing on the cake.
We used to have 3000+ pilots. I guess you havenít been here long enough to know that or youíre too stupid to remember.

Why arenít we increasing the flow above the 25/mo minimum with all these newhires supposedly in the pipe?

You continue to avoid answering that because the truth hurts your narrative.

Hopefully the new Republic TA puts even more pressure on management when combined with Endeavor's rates.

And not even ours. Old winglets. Like the old model plastered all over the training center.

You werenít even here when those were the major portion of the fleet. Letís discuss the quality of life back then as opposed to now.
And while weíre at it, letís talk about management vs. labor relationship.
    Youíre drinking again arenít you?

Unlike a stupid millennium like yourself, I/ most of us here don't care what I/we fly as long as I/we am getting paid what I/we are worth and our QOL is good.

This post here shows how short sighted and tunnel vision you are.

The Saab. Thatís what men fly.

The 175 is for children who donít have any piloting skills besides pressing buttons and asking ďwhatís it doing now?Ē

You know dacuj is getting desperate when all he can do is start posting pictures of airplanes like waving a steak at a starving dog. Problem is, dacujís steak is bankrupt of nutrition for Envoy pilots and they have turned away from the desperate little man and his tasteless treats.

Back when we had the Saabís and ATRís, we had this thing called 2 day trips in the bid packet, where someone could get an 85-90 hour line with 15 days off, and was home EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. It was great! Then, when you got senior enough, you could hold 3 day trips with 17-19 days off!

The DMG is pseudo-Management, even when supposedly ďservingĒ in ALPA, where dacuj was just mining info for management as a self-appointed mole. Anything stated by DMG should be considered with extreme suspicion.
