66% increase in flow. Our MEC needs to match this or they all need to be recalled. This is getting embarrassing to once again, see other wholly owns getting improvements and yet we're metering the flow.

How ? Envoy is so short of captains they’re forcing new-hires to upgrade. What changes if they just switch pointing the cattle prod to senior F/O’s ? Envoy management is eyeing ravenous growth that I don’t think the other WO’s and in doing so are flying themselves and you guys up a canyon that eventually they won’t be able to climb out of. Your MEC won’t reduce any power as they’re most concerned with a quick and succesful ejection prior to that impact.

It’s up to management piloting that plane to make an early abort on their canyon expansion tour and also stop throwing pilots without parachutes out of the plane to the rocks of forced upgrade to make those changes. Maybe, but don’t hold your breath.

Let's also keep in mind that even at 10/month now, PSA flow for a new hire is somewhere around 9-10 years, so basically coming on par with envoy with regards to career expectation of a new hire.

One of the big gives in their deal is that management can now displace senior FOs to the left seat rather than junior... so seniority goes bye bye.

That being said, it seems their management is making a turn for the more pro-active approach while ours remains reactionary and unwilling to make improvements.

It may be 07 hires now, but it will be 2014 hires in a year.

Did you NOT READ that PSA can't fill upgrade classes AND they increase flow?

Did you NOT READ the post that I highlighted and my response ? My point wasnít that PSA doesnít have the same upgrade problem, but that Envoy is trying to aggressively grow and so is putting themselves (and thus you) in a Catch-22 situation, so itís even more difficult for Envoy to match PSA.

Obviously not. Not to worry, as time goes on youíll start to get it.

Everyone knew except the newbies, because it was discussed that aag will make each w/o flow to be equal in numbers flowing. It's not a surprise about psa, next is pdt, envoy stays same. Everyone knew this when aag came for more after bankruptcy.
Aag could give a shi+ what psa, pdt or envoy pilots want, need or desire. There next move is to hand flying to non owned regionals if you piss off Parker and company, remember how compass ended up with 20 e175.
Past practices for envoy/eagle management has been and will be yo do the minimum to correct anything, but the flow is and will be metered, why, as dacuj and dolphins like to point out it's contractual.

I did read it. I wrote Dee and Ric an email last week asking why they're delaying my flow just to grow an airline that's still smaller than it was before Jerry Glass came in. Obviously, no response yet. Says a lot about management.

I hope you get an answer, although I’d be skeptical of its veracity. IMO, the truth is their priorities trump your interests and they know you are dwindling commodity and they want to conserve their resources so as best meet their priorities and growth is again a priority. They don’t care about yours or anyone else's flow and want to preserve their own little nests and so you get the shaft.

Nothing new really, it’s just business. BTW, the idea of "senior manning" upgrades is smarter as then you end up displacing fewer more senior pilots and your training and displacement costs decrease. I wouldn't be surprised to see Envoy management pursue this method with Envoy MEC concurrence. It will suck for senior F/O's clawing onto what little QWL they have, but be good for those in the MEC close to flow. Hopefully, any such situation won't delay any truly senior F/O's flow who had intended to ride the right seat to AA. As I said.....................it's just business.

I don't really understand the idea that the MEC members making management friendly deals helps their flow... they're flowing at the same time regardless of what happens, it's not like they can speed it up. That only exists if we get an increase in monthly flow through which is good for everybody, not just MEC members close to flow.

It isn't deals to help quicken their flow, it is deals to keep them looking good in managements eyes and out of trouble. As long as they keep their coushie job until their parole date, that is all they care about.

Remember what happen to two of our other union leaders who ruffled a few feathers along their way?.....that's right they are no longer with an AAG company.

Get the drift? Make sense now?
