Probably not after QuickTrade dropped his trade list. 3 minutes late to open

At AA today it turned everyoneís trips green and they had to shut it down. May be related to your failure.

Yep, and the trips I wanted to trade at the window opening became redder in the process, so everything I wanted to trade got denied. Yet another benefit Envoy has to offer....

After many swear words I ended up being able to trade into the days I wanted off but instead of getting 3 day for 3 day trips I had to bite the bullet and take 4 day trips with lost days. Got Xmas off so itís not too bad but it was pretty crappy when I had about 5 trades in my queue on QuickTrade with no extra days of working. Now Iím down to 11 from 15 and only made about 9 hours of pay. Oh and not commutable. But hey at least I get to spend Xmas off with my kiddo.

I think I understood all of that except the "Christmas off" part. What exactly is "Christmas off?" Never heard of it...

None of this was QT fault. Mike is looking in to why all the open trips disappear at 1159.

I'm starting to question the programming of QT. I was able to trade 2 different trips using Sabre that QuickTrade didn't show as legal trades.

It just uses N4TL. I'd let Mike know so he can investigate.

Not a Quick Trade user... but this was definitely not itís fault. Scheduling decided to update the TTOT database 7 minutes before the window opened. It didnít finish until about 4 or 5 minutes after the window was supposed to open. I watched it all happen while I was tying to set up trades in DECs. A lot of times after a database update the red/redder status changes which is why you cannot trade for trips you thought you could previously. This is extremely frustrating and I wish they wouldnít wait until the absolute last minute to update it. We all know they donít care though as long as staffing levels are met.

At AA, IT botched TTOT as well. East coast domiciles open first and most peopleís entire month of December went green. Needless to say a massive amount of trips were dumped into open time and some even dropped their entire December schedules before alarm bells went off and they slammed the system. AA will be in a free fall staffing crisis, especially in the second half of the month where they ramped up additional flying before this gaffe. It will cost them mucho $$$ to bribe pilots to fly during Christmas. I foresee a lot of potential for cancellations at AA in December, especially around Christmas and New Years.

Yep, it seemed to be something wrong with N4TL. Using N4T I was able to see all tradeable sequences without regard to legality, and it showed a lot of sequences that I should have been legal for. Then when I traded (via QT, by the way), I wasn't denied the trade. I think this wasn't the app's fault, but rather an issue with N4TL.

As others have noted, the issue was Crew Scheduling running a database update a few minutes before the window opened. This update changes the red/redder values which makes some trades no longer legal. The QuickTrade app uses N4TL entries to show the (X Trades) for each trip. The app will just echo what DECS says. If the N4TLs don't show anything legal (be it an error message or just 0 trades) then it shows (0 Trades). For a large portion of the beginning of the trade window, the N4TLs just said "TTOT DATABASE UPDATE..." etc. So QT showed 0 Trades.

When looking at trades you can press the refresh button to run an N4TL manually, and it will either update the list or display the error it encountered. You can also use the tools button here to view all trips instead of just the N4TL trips.

You can also globally disable the N4TL entries in your QuickTrade settings if needed.

I should be talking with CS tomorrow about what happened. Two months in a row now they've effed up the opening of the window like this.
