Most junior ca (to no ones surprise) 2066
    Dce 1516
    Dcl didn’t see any
    Mce 1629
    Nce 2066
    Occ 2048
    Oce 806
    Ocl 1383

Someone might want to double check these. I am trying to type as a passenger in a car. Also I notice about 100 numbers between these seniority numbers and what’s posted on Sabre. At first glance it looks as if a lot of senior occ decided to switch ac, which was to be expected.

They displaced. I'm not sure why it doesn't say it on the prelim.

What is wrong with that picture ?

Sure one can talk all about quick upgrades, but when they HAVE to displace (force) pilots to move UP to Captain, it (at least to me) indicates a much more serious situation.

We've gone from beagleboy stating that the sky is falling and with a 7 year upgrade, we will not be able to hire enough to keep the flow going and the flow goes kaput to beagleboy saying that the sky is falling because the upgrade is immediate and the company won't have enough bodies to keep the flow going and it goes kaput. So, which is it my idiot friend? You can't have it both ways or speak out of both sides of your mouth like you have here and on other forums for years. Being obsessed with your former employer and flow failing indicates that you have mental issues.

It's called BOMS. Bitter Old Man Syndrome. Originates with having to fly some crapped out old hot ass turboprop from some local Texas commuter to start your career then slogging it out at Eagle for 20 plus years to finally flow in the twilight of their career just to fly FO on an 80.

Then watching 20 somethings go straight into a baby bus, upgrade right away and hit the doors at AA before their 30th birthday.

Currently, no one is even close to flowing before his 30th birthday.

That's because I'm NOT speaking out of both sides of my mouth, it is just that you are simply incapable of quantifying what I'm saying due to your hopeless imbecility along with a cocktail of psychiatric disorders. I'll explain it for those that ARE capable of understanding it as you (which includes your alter-ego "smokey" that you posted 12 minutes later) are beyond that, to wit, that without a steady stream of qualified pilots, carriers like Envoy are in trouble. Few with the exception of at least you does NOT believe there is Regional pilot shortage and that includes most Regional Airlines as evidenced by what they are having to do now simply to get people in the door. But, the key is qualified pilots and clearly since they have to force pilots into positions (and places) they do not wish to be, that indicates that they have only exchanged one part of the problem for another, neither of which is a component of a healthy situation, but more indicative of one strewn with red flags and BOTH essentially being part of the same problem.

It's a perfect example of can-kicking and only a sap believes they can kick a can like this in perpetuity. As far as your exhausted cliché of "BOMS" to which you cling to like a frightened child, what I express here in opinion won't make on iota of difference in changing either my lot in life or the mythical 29-year old Envoy flow-thru's future, so what would be the point of soothing myself in that regard ? To do that would only mean I exist in a fantasyland of denial like yourself and IMO, that is among the saddest places to exist in. As for obsession...............well, you are the Prodigal Son (pun intended) on that here in regards to your favorite boogeyman for all things that scramble your psyche which you believe all originate with little 'ole me. Most create their own demons and you are a perfect example of that.

Why is it necessary for you and your pro company companion here to bash and personally attack anyone who disagrees with you? Isn't this board a myriad of opinions and information? I'm wondering what the real motivation is here that makes your group jump on somebody like a pack of hyenas when they aren't carrying the company's water. In other words, your agenda

    Thank you.

A 3 week upgrade ? Essentially a street hire then and sadly likely years on reserve (and possibly commuting the whole time) unless the company starts running a 'Captains Mill' whereby each new-hire class is displaced into the previous "displacee's" Captains status allowing a return to F/O for those more senior. If not, then everything gets all out of whack (as if it's not now) and senior pilots are prevented (locked-in) from going to where they want to and should be able to via seniority, at least if this airline had a functional seniority system. Envoy has to go down in history as having the most Schizoid seniority system in US Airline history even more whacky then non-union carriers.

Did they find enough FOs to fill all the vacancies?

"Forced upgrade" is envoy's version of "street captains." I would imagine their future staffing model is causing management to go into panic mode right now.

Gee, it sure would be nice if we had those 500 guys they scared off in bankruptcy. #WKTWH

During bankruptcy proper, we lost about 1,000 pilots. About half were flows or retirements, the other half quit because the future of this company was being threatened by its own management. I was counting. That's roughly 500 pilots that envoy air spent the time and money to train, only to have quit for no good reason other than Doug and Jerry's egos. Pilots that AAG needs now and in the future, but will never get back because of their shortsightedness.

Hey I'm not trying to argue because we are on the same page. But in 2011 we were 3200. I was a 2010 hire so I saw that 3000+ number. A couple years ago we were under 1800 pilots. They sure coulda used all those pilots these days.
