Does the company match apply to the Roth option also, or just to the pre-tax option?

Thanks. Going to AA reasonably soon - it's tough to decide on a retirement tax strategy. Who knows what this congress will end up doing with taxes?

IMO it's a no brainer to contribute after taxes. Side note: I have no brains.

Do you think you will be paying more in taxes now or when you retire? If you think you will be paying more in taxes when you retire then contribute more to the Roth option.

    Yep.

Keep in mind you can create an IRA or a Roth IRA to have in conjunction with your 401k. It's never too early to start saving for retirement.

Everyone needs to be contributing enough to get the full company match. Otherwise you are leaving free money on the table instead of putting it in your pocket. Ideally you should be contributing 10-15%

I hear the latest government handout is a roll of paper towels. Trump will even personally alley-oop it to you if you get a little wet.
