    And only from Dacuj do you hear the complaints of forced displacements being brushed off as "whining". Par for the course though. According to Dacuj and Fin, there's not one single negative issue with Envoy. It's absolutely rainbows and unicorns. Paradise.

    Which I really think is not the major issue though. What pilots want are upgrade opportunities. That implies option, flexibility and some control, not the forcing of a situation that results in excessive stress due to gutting an already marginal quality of life. A healthy carrier (and industry) with viable resources and an ethical philosophy toward their pilots provides those opportunities or more accurately, those opportunities are a byproduct of a healthy environment. Carrier(s) that are in desperation due to limited resources of which they are responsible for squandering have little choice but to force hardship on those that don't want that or are not prepared for it simply to make ends meet. One occurs when there is health both in the industry and within the carrier and the other is the inevitable result when one or both those qualities are absent. Quick upgrade opportunities are definitely good and up until now that was a good (but temporary) thing, but what should be gleaned from this development is that there is trouble ahead, not anything healthy. The previous problem of insufficient F/O's has been delayed (not solved) and the focus now is the luring of pilots from other carriers already qualified to be Envoy captains, but once that well dries (which will probably be concurrent with the evaporation of F/O's), then what ?

    Personally, I don't see any good scenario's for that.

    Wait till the media catches wind of forced upgrades. That should go over well. The company should entice people to upgrade not beat them into submission.
