    Next Big Thing

As you know, I gave all of you the inside intel on the terrific things that happened in the 2nd quarter.
Now, what's next you ask? Big things are coming. 4th quarter.

Just think about about all the great things you've heard me allude to this year and pick and choose.
Envoy is turning into one of the most wildly successful national airlines in the country. That means the trend continues. More to come...

You obviously get aroused jerking Envoy pilots around while simultaneously making yourself look like a big shot. Most people have an internal filter that prevents them from self-inflation, but not you dough boy.

You could have been Napoleon in a past life.

He gets high on the sales process, not the product. The product isn't his, but by selling it he confuses himself that he and the product are one, hence the high.

It's a psychiatric condition worthy of pity.

We're getting stapled to the bottom? You get an AA number. You get an AA number.

Mark my words. I'll be 100% correct.

How about just getting rid of the sewage smell in the flight ops area at DFW?

Financing for pilots by AA to enter flight training. Isom said so in the SOTA. Not really a matter to all of us. Carry on. Not super exciting.

If APA refuse to take a 27% pay raise, in exchange for the Scope...then, get ready because we are going to somebody's AAz. With(5 year fences).
Company will get relief on Scope one way or another. Then, grow Group I.
    Nothing new here.

Yes, the ideas above are nothing new and are periodically claimed by some regional pilots with little understanding of the situation. To reiterate, pay rates alone won't do it and besides, APA needs the AA pilot group to sign off on any Scope relief and that's a very, very tall order. Highly unlikely as most AA pilots realize Scope relief just means handing more jobs (and flow slots BTW) out elsewhere which weakens their bargaining power and job security. As for Group I, AAG can grow that today with nothing to stop them, as "Group I" are aircraft flown by AA pilots as per their contract, not by anyone else.

Likely not super successful either, but it will get a small percentage of the pilots AAG regionals will need in the future. Once Delta and UAL slam the door on poaching with their own flow-thru's, Envoy recruitment will be in real trouble and it takes years to cultivate a pilot from scratch. I expect a lot of tap dancing in the future to fill those RJ seats and once most pilots arrive at Envoy after a few years of training and 500 hours (if ATA is successful in convincing Congress to throw the Colgan families under the bus), it will take years to be captain qualified. I'm not convinced the timing will work out for Envoy in that scenario. If Congress does shaft the flying public, it will be interesting to see what the regionals safety is littered with 1500-2000 hour Captains and 250-500 hour F/O flying 76-seat jetliners around all over the place. Should that scenario occur, my bet is it's just a matter of time before a major accident forces backtracking putting the regionals back in dire straits.

Besides, IMO AAG won't have the solutions as they seem to either follow others or shoot off into the woods when it comes to successful industry innovation. I think it will be Delta and perhaps United that remain and/or become the troubadours with more successful solutions to this issue while AAG continues to wallow in its past of expending and wasting energy strategizing against their pilots.

Finally. Nootpilot has something of consequence to say. Yes, this is a scenario that is certainly open. Think about it. AA is already taking ALL Envoy pilots as it is.

That said, that's not the big news. It's all in the works but if you were happy with 140s coming back, more 175s and MIA opening, you will be very happy with what's in the works for later in the year.
