    Low Time FO AGAIN

    I've been told Envoy and the Union while working on some contract modifications and improvements, one of the topics brought up was low time First Officers.
    Apparently many First Officers will face short time when upgrade became available to them. I'm not sure what ideas were brought up, but they want to have low time First Officers flying more.
    Street Captain soon?

    Because they want to flow to AA ASAP. They don't plan on being Envoy lifers, so long-term interests of Envoy pilots really aren't their concern. Individually and collectively (and psychologically too) they are most concerned with what gets them out the door.

    What happens after that is the next reps problem, but inevitably the philosophical cycle just repeats itself much like a dog watching another chasing his tail does it too. It's fabulous for the company..........not such much for the pilot group as a whole though.

    now would be a good time for ALPA national to work out a national seniority list.
    Fence it to protect those currently on their own property; but it would allow for seniority portability.
    This would force airlines to compete for pilots based upon pay & work rules since they could easily leave and go elsewhere without having to start over.

    GoJets is already offering longevity transfer. It is going to be coming as a new recruitment tool, especially when they can't upgrade enough FO's

    We should get ahead of it now for our benefit, not managements..... probably too out of the box for ALPA.....

    Any leads on rates around the DFW area for aircraft rentals? Im slated to upgrade next year and need some more Total.

    I would love if we could take the most important part of our job with us, experience. But you know. Follow the money, and it doesn't add up to saving the airlines money.

    We have flow, we don't need longevity pay transfer for pilots to come to envoy.
    They can give major pay raises across the board plus flow they will be knocking down the door to get in or just merge the w/o's and you problem is taken care of.
