Old news. But..........that doesn't rule out replacement by another newer NextGen Group I aircraft. 2.5 years is plenty of time to replace 20 jets, but realistically IF (and that's a big IF) AA (mainline) were to commit to an updated Group I aircraft, they'd have to get far more then 20 to justify the costs of a new fleet. I would think they'd have to green light that be early next year though.

I heard it was a Waco turn, followed by a Longview turn THEN the obligatory Abilene overnight. Heard from a FA who knows a contract mechanic who's best friend is a ramper that Lawton is getting the appropriate airstairs, too.

Heard it here first. Our new VP of sanitary wipes is 1/8 Siberian. He has an in with ilyushin. We've secured 40 ilyushin 62's with options for 50 more. Only hold up is that union has to do a hotel visit to Moscow to make sure our new hires don't have a long cab ride from the airport to the training center. There is a hint of new domiciles. Think vodka with no palm trees.

Yes but did they paint the lines on the ramp?

No, the ramp is too small. They're going to deplane at the end of 17R/35L then use a super tug to push back to the other end of the runway for a static takeoff. That is until Boeing reopens the 747SP line then we'll see about ramp space.

Envoy needs the 747-400D model for the shorter flights.
