Well that is good news, as long as they know what the real life on line is. Been hearing new hires complaining that they are on reserve.

Nowhere near the 45 of a couple of weeks ago, AND also nowhere near your fantasy predictions of 100 a month this summer.

Wow! Fireworks indeed!!!! That must mean 80 new hires are scheduled for the next class! After all, you said 100+ new hires a month. Let the good times roll Dacjuj ol' boy!

Let's see how the rest of Summer/Fall continues to shake out. Again, a lot of college pipeline pilots are supposedly now available due to completion of University commitments/flight time issues. At least that was what I heard. Can at least 45-50/month continue to flock to Envoy each and every month for the next half decade to ensure the upgrade/flow engine continues to run without backfiring or seizing ? NO ONE can answer that now with confidence. What we do know as of now though is that the flow will run less then contractually capable and it seems that the monthly minting of line-qualified captains will not match flow/outside attrition rates, although paper bid awards might.

I know that rumor is making the rounds right now. Although, no plans of that happening in the near future. Maybe eventually.

Yep. And then you'll get all butt hurt again because things just keep getting better here. As far as I can tell, you actually work here. Why not stop all the sniping and negativity. It's actually in YOUR benefit for all these good things to be happening here.

No, this is for the company's benefit. If they could get a laptop to fly the airplane today we'd all be fired tomorrow. You keep overlooking our QoL issues and terrible schedules because of upgrades! and flow! Row the galley, boys, and in 5-7 years there may be a light at the end of the tunnel! Of course, it doesn't really matter to you, you're probably going to fly that desk all the way to AA and then you'll find a way to do the same there, right?

If the company would address our QoL issues the "hate" that you and Huckleberry Phin go on and on about would disappear overnight.

ETA: Don't you think that improving commutability, real pay increases (not gimmicky bonuses) and high credit, efficient lines would be an excellent recruiting tool?

I've got money on that they won't even respond to those issues. Not part of their talking points / spin.

Millennials with a sense of entitlement. Had a new hire with 300 hours at the company. Tell me he deserved to be a Captain already. It was owed to him because he had done the work to get hired. Sorry bitch you have to earn it.

"Earn it" with the airlines. In recent past at American Eagle, some took 10 years for a chance to upgrade and thousands of flight time. Soon, some will upgrade in months with FARs flight time minimum. I guess we can say the same for reserve time served.

    Cheers, have a great week!

It's not just this particular generation.

Had a middle-aged guy sit next to me at a career fair. He was a Compass CA, flying from my old LAX domicile. He was on property two years (mid-life career changer) and was holding a line. He revealed to me how miserable he was at a regional and he was surprised he hadn't been called by a major yet.

I politely explained that I was an FO for eight years and had been displaced three times, twice from my home domicile of LAX. And I explained that my phone wasn't ringing off the hook, either. And, I explained he should know his audience before he spouts off next time.

Hey can you do me a quick favor? Can you shout down the hall to swaps and drops and ask them why they've been completely ignoring my rsv swap requests I put in? I've tried to get ahold of them the last few days but they seem to not want to talk. It would be nice to fix my 11 day off rsv schedule and help out a fellow pilot while I'm at it. Thanks.
