    MIA Bid and Vacancy

    0 Not allowed! Not allowed!
Should see a vacancy bid today. 40 CA/FO each for MIA and looks like between 20 and 30 175 CA.

Yep, upgrade just keeps on dropping. Will likely be solid under 2 after this one.

Unable at this time. Is it good, bad or "meh"?

Hope they change the reserve rule and make it so you can't sit SB at all on your last day. No if, ands or buts! It's total BS. Manage your reserves better!

So how senior does this go? I know a lot of miami guys left. I wonder if senior commuters will decide to commute to MIA for the extra money

Say what you will, but bidding S1 on the last day was a pretty good deal, even if you were called to fly. Lots of times I flew as soon as I got in, and was released before noon. I know this didn't always happen, but my luck seemed better on S1 than R1. Maybe not be assigned it, and/or leave standby out of the last day. Either way, they need to make reserve commutable as a whole.

This will happen, 100%. Sorry, junior MIA commuters.

What is the average time from being awarded an upgrade to actually sitting in class?

I say this is great news. It will no doubt bring our upgrade below 2 years and get some of our MIA guys driving to work again. Good stuff.

But by the way, flow is still over 7 years for a new hire. This vacancy doesn't change that math ol' boy. I know you like to act like I only have bad things about Envoy. Even though I've continuously pointed out all the great things that are happening. Just because I won't go along with your false claim of 5 year flow, I'm a hater. Sorry bud. Math doesn't lie, although you do.

How much attrition to OAL are you using in your calculation?

I consider that a wash because the calculations take into account sending full classes of flows in December when AA doesn't run classes in December.

What do I have to say ?

    Many of the things I've said all along. That being;

    1. This is good news and good for Envoy pilots.
    2. But, bids aren't bodies on the line in status.
    3. It apparently doesn't impact the flow as the plan as last confirmed is to flow at minimum contractual rate.
    4. What is happening today may not happen next month, 6 months from now or two years from now. In fact, I've heard the big summer numbers reflect a spike of college pipeline pilots finished with University commitments, although I don't know that to be fact. If true, that won't occur in perpetuity.
    5. It obviously has nothing to do with the company adhering to Envoys contract as QWL apparently hasn't improved.
........ and last but certainly not least, 6. It hasn't changed your penchant for infantile personal attack which only damages your credibility.

Also the smaller summer classes, i.e. Ten flows in June.

I am guessing the flow times will be slightly less than what the list says due to attrition, but I'm not going to vegas to put money on it.
