1.) AA stops hiring for whatever reason (say another 9-11 or worse)
    2.) Envoy ceases to exist

in either case, the ironclad contract language would be worthless

We are not AA pilots. I don't care how your uniform looks (and the insignia are different by the way). Looking like something doesn't make you anything more than cheap knock-off. I could go on.

Envoy is a good choice for a new pilot; but stop trying to make it more than it is.

Well just cry me a river. Sounds like somebody is just butt hurt here. Let it rip potato chip.

the short version is they fired me for:
    1. lying about involvement in the Charlie bucket deal. I didn't lie, and on cross they admitted that if it had only been the Charlie Bucket thing I wouldn't have been fired, that it was lying about resigning from the union job that did it.
    2. lying about resigning from a union job. We produced the resignation emails showing that I had in fact resigned and that they based their actions on third hand rumor; and they had no valid response. Then they said that they really didn't care if I stayed Government Affairs chairman anyway (which they had to since what they did violates the RLA about interfering in union activity).

That is the extremely short version. The transcript of testimony is like 500 pages.
I must have missed something. What does resigning from a union position have to do with anything and why would they care ?

My personal opinion is they view it as cheaper and easier to just eventually pay me back pay, and not have me around in their face all the time.

Same goes for Neal. How convenient is it that the two base reps who fought them the hardest end up fired within a month of each other.
Well, OK good luck. Still don't understand the issue of resigning, so I guess it will just remain a mystery to me, so I'll just move on.
