Just stay away from the 190, unless you live or want to fly out of PHL.

Talked to an AA guy the other day... They aren't letting guys off the 190, because they can't staff it. You might get awarded something else, but they continuously defer your training. Not sure how true this is, but somehow sounds awfully familiar.... Time to put those things out to pasture.

But at AA, when AWARDED another plane, you begin getting paid for it immediately.

I wouldn't be laughing about it. A serious and plausible scenario that could happen in the near future.

AAG could negotiate raises at AA in return for moving the 190s to Envoy. We already have the training program in place and it's a common type. It's obvious no one over there wants to fly it as it goes so junior. It's a win for both sides and AAG.

It's a win for both airlines and for AAG shareholders. It's a loss for both pilot groups. How has trading raises for scope worked out over the last 2 decades?

Are you serious this stupid to believe it is a win for both pilot groups? Please explain how it will be a win for us pilots? Please explain how in the past selling scope was good for us pilots? Spoken like a snowflake with SJS.

If this were to occur, you'd have to change your new-hire sales spin from the "flow-thru...flow-thru and more flow-thru" chant to a "big, fat, shiny new jets at Envoy" howl as such a development would cripple the Envoy flow-thru as a significant percentage of AA narrow body flying would dissolve via transfer of that to Envoy and ostensibly others in the Eagle system. Considering the history of Envoy pilots being manhandled with impunity and low-balled with ease by management, "new aircraft" would end up being flown for perhaps another $10-15/hour captains rates at Envoy and lead to major financial losses for most Envoy pilots compared to what they would have earned at AA during any delay in flow to AA which would be significant.

Not to worry as increasing AA pay rates alone wouldn't have an icicles chance in Nassau of producing such a scope concession. In fact, considering how devistating it would be to present AA pilots along with future hopefuls, I can't conceive of any quid-pro-quo trade for future Scope relief of this magnitude, especially considering how AA pilots have been treated since the merger was consummated. Even getting the E2 Embraers for the Eagle system would be like pulling teeth from 90% of AA pilots. It's a great fantasy for some though as periodically someone like yourself will wish upon a star on a pilot forum in the hope Santa Claus will slide down your chimney with a sack stuffed with boons.

It would be crushing loss to most Envoy pilots who want to flow as mainline flying is transferred to your cell block. Virtually everyone's planned parole date to AA would be rescinded, likely for years and to add more headwind, the very reason Envoy is attracting (and poaching....for now) pilots is the flow. Since most have little interest in many more years at a regional even for another $15/hour and a bigger jet, pilots (the few that will be left in a few years) will seek more lucrative and rewarding careers at AA's competition.

Oh, so NOW you are buying the flow through instead of bashing it and saying it's going to come to a screaming halt or become a trickle through.

Totally wrong. Just another one of your dip***t theories. Transferring the 190s to Envoy could actually work to the benefit of all pilot groups and AAG as well. Think pay increases at AA and Envoy, more flexibility for AAG to strategically place these birds with more 175s just around the corner. AA continues to grow like gangbusters internationally while Envoy explodes domestically and eventually becomes a total behemoth with a huge stable of 175/190 aircraft. More seats are created at AA for flow via growth and HUGE numbers of upgrades at Envoy likely bringing upgrade down to mere months after hire. 100 plus new hires coming into Envoy monthly with flow continuing unabated. Sounds like the best case scenario to me.
