    The former mayor of Sacramento (and former NBA great) Kevin Johnson got pied in the face at an event last year. The culprit got his ass beat and is facing criminal assault charges, all because KJ is a sexual harassing, terrible mayoring, humorless POS.

    I guess my point is yes, it has been done before in the US but at the expense of the pie-er.
