    Air Wisconsin $57K bonus

APPLETON, Wis., May 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Air Wisconsin Airlines announced today significant enhancements to its existing bonus program, increasing the value of cash bonuses to $57,000, including $8,000 for pilots type rated in a turbine aircraft. When added to Air Wisconsin's competitive wage structure and best-in-class benefits, these increases position Air Wisconsin as the regional airline industry leader in new hire pilot compensation. During the first three years of employment, a new pilot will receive between $260,000 and $317,000 in total pay and elected benefits.

New hire pilots can expect to upgrade to Captain in 18 to 24 months-likely faster for pilots hired in the next several months-as Air Wisconsin dramatically expands its pilot group in connection with its recently announced long-term agreement with United Airlines.

In addition to industry-leading compensation and fast upgrades, Air Wisconsin pilots enjoy a structured, rapid career progression to United Airlines through the United Career Pathway Program.

According to Bob Frisch, Air Wisconsin's Chief Operating Officer, "Today's announcement highlights Air Wisconsin's commitment to attracting qualified pilots to its growing pilot group and creates best-in-class compensation to go along with the rapid upgrade opportunities created by our new partnership with United Airlines."

Now we will get an AA sen. Number.
    Valid until your 65th birthday.

No we won't. Kirby had nothing to do with bonuses for a company that is outsourced. It's like praising AAG CEO for bonuses Mesa gets.

They have trip/duty rigs also. Wish we had that, especially with a few of the CRJ lines approaching 400 hours time away from base.

Like I said in another thread, they all see the future now and both Delta and United will be getting more aggressive in capturing as many as possible of the relatively few number of pilots out there. It's getting to the point that the RJ will be among the most expensive aircraft to operate which ironically was the opposite of what it and other outsourcing schemes were intended to do. This horse race will start to get really interesting soon. Delta and soon United are moving toward smaller mainline jets to replace RJ's which will soon be cheaper then the RJ's and it doesn't matter what the economics of the rest of the regional are like gate staff, F/A's or mechanics, because if there is no F/O, there is no flight and someone else inherits the revenue.

IMO, at some point, they'll all need to bring their mainline pilots aboard for a better solution and despite the raise to AA pilots last week, AA is the worst positioned in this respect due to the lack of trust in AAG management that remains.

The 1000 hours a year sounds pretty optimistic, also included is a pilot referral. However, that is an impressive inticement to get new FOs there. Negotiate a flow or SSP to United and they'll be running circles around envoy.

I didn't realize that. How long until envoy catches up? Probably too long.

Guess no one values those already employed. Have to get to a big boy jet before that happens.
