    Agreed, Neal. Best to get info from a reputable union source than some rumor-mongerer on the Internet.

    Unfortunately, I'll be sitting most of the day at an outstation in the middle of a trip on the 28th. Looking forward to any news or reports of the meeting.

    With dacuj spouting about all these new hires, if have seen on another site a rumor that there is a 30% failure rate of new hires. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me.

    I cannot confirm that but when I went through recurrent in January, the instructor (check airman) say about 80% of CRJ new hires needed at least 1 extra sim for various reasons. He told me he heard the 175 program was better because it was "easier."

    I wouldn't say easier. Compared to the old 121 program on the 145, it's a walk in the park. However, we do have guys who need more training.
