    Question Conflict Question

    Line bidding:

Bid a line that has 3 days of carryover into the next month, then the next month has a trip working the first three days. Removed from the next month's trip and coded as DC on activity sheet. Is that unpaid or pay protected?

Example: the 3 days of carry-over are worth 10 hours, the conflicted trip that was removed was worth 17. Did I just lose 7 hours of pay?

    Asking for a friend.

    Thanks!

You will get your line guarantee for next month so 17 hours. You will have to get 7 hours of Ching before anything counts though

    7 hours of "Ching" ?

So if I understand correctly: Let's say the next month's line value is 90 hours - because the 17 hours dropped (DC) was only made up by 10 from the carry-over, my "guarantee" is still 90 hours but I would have to trade up an additional 7+ hours to get more than 90 hours credit for the month?

If you were scheduled to be in 2 places at 1 time, the flying will be dropped and your line value will be decreased. If you had 4 days of carryover and immediately start a 4 day trip on day 5, you will get a 30 hour break and paid for all 8 days.

Not necessarily. If you're on 30 hour overnight anywhere on those trips the company will send u a GFY and send you on an 8 day trip.

Pending a grievance of course. Just another way management tells us it's a great time to be an envoy pilot.

They have also told 12 year Capt in Chicago. It's a great time to be forced TDY to LGA. But don't worry. We are flowing so many more now than we were during the Nixon administration. Infact dacuj says it's a 6 year flow. I know what you're thinking 6 years and I've been here for 12, but remember. Math is not involved in a recruiters strategy, nor is contracts or happiness.

As always remember anyone who is in town. First beer is on me. I'll be at the atrium.

Did you read what I wrote? I clearly stated the 30 hour would be forced on you...

Yes. I agree. Standard was a 30 hour break free from duty. My point was that the company has reinterpreted this that it can be in our out of base. So you have a 30 hour layover that constitutes your 30 hour free of duty. This is BS as it makes 8 day trips possible. Also the calendar day free of duty. Fits in the same bill. I'm not arguing what you said. I'm merely stating that the company is screwing people with there contractual interpretations.

What part of projections don't you understand? It's a pilots market right now. The new guys coming in aren't going to have it like the guys from the lost decade. You've already seen the upgrade dropping like crazy. Now that the 824 are almost through and we are into 2004, you are going to see the flow drop like crazy also.

I'll project the quality of life one with experience while employed at envoy. 3 new hires sitting in the crew room. Sat RSV for less than a month complaining about how RSV sucks. Two were JM and one being prior Navy is counting the days before Delta calls him. Ask him about the flow.
