I wonder if they give you Intl per diem for that. I can't even remember if that's still in the contract.

Heard the original accommodations were at the no name hotel, however the company believes the new hires may end up being hog tied and robbed at gunpoint point

Break them in gentle. Ric provides new hires with lube. By the time they upgrade he expects Capt to supply their own. That s#it is expensive.

^^^This. It should also trend the 145 back to a more senior status. Won't hurt recruiting at all. As we start upping the new hires getting near the 100/month mark, many will decide on Envoy not only for the flow but for the training in Europe as well. These 145s are going to end up being the backbone of replacing lost lift with the AWAC drawdown. We could virtually end up like PDT with new hires completing IOE and bidding the very next CA vacancy. Can you say sub 6 month upgrade? Then you ask what of the flow? Maybe sub 5? It's going to get short. I hear old timers talk about how great the real Eagle was back in the lost decade. I personally see Envoy today as far and away superior to anything American Eagle ever was.

It's funny how this thread was started, then Mr dacuj comes is. Confirms the information, so now it's gospel. Then slanders the "old timers".

    "Sym"?

Symbol? Symposium? Symptoms? Sympathy? Symmetrical? Symantec?

God help the generation who can't abbreviate properly.

In order for the flow to accelerate, Envoy needs to not meter. Are you saying that they will stop metering at some point in the near future?

It sounds like he's saying a Envoy will soon not only hire 100/month, but train 100 new-hires and thus another 100 F/O's to captain reducing upgrades which will apparently drop to mess than 5 months. Can you imagine running 100 new-hires AND 100 F/O's through Envoy's training facility each and every month to produce such a reality ? Check Airman, Sims, and IOE instructors by the dozens, if not hundreds.

We now live in a country of wild unsubstantiated claims and so why shouldn't he join that psychotic conga line ?

I'm saying that we will soon be hiring 100 per month. Obviously the need for CA will increase with the 145s staying around. More airplanes equal more new hires equal more Captains which result in more flows. I absolutely wouldn't be surprised at 40/month. Go back a few months and that was a hot topic. Look ahead several months at increased fleet, staffing and new hires and you should be able to see where we are headed.

Upgrade into the 145 just to displace them when. The CRJ start going away.
