Huge congrats to all you new Captains! And on your upgrade into the big metal pink.

Hopefully this will get the attention of some of you on here. We are smoking the upgrades with it being just a bit over three years as of today. By the end of the year. Sub 2 year upgrades. Wait and see.

This is likely going to bring in even more new hires as they see the sub 2 year upgrade as the icing on their flow cake.

Thanks! Well, I'll wait until I see something official, but the idea of a livable wage is exciting, hoping for one of the LGA spots, so even though I'll be experiencing he wrath of reserve again it'll be mitigated by a closer base.

I think he's talking about me. But the funny thing is I was awarded the "big metal" back in october. The guys that bid the 145 on the same bid and junior to me entered training before the flow plan came out. I am now seeing guys junior to me on the jet bridges asking me why I am holding out. The sad truth is that they are so backed up on the big shiny turd that it has caused been delayed after delayed. The positive news is I was able to change my bid to 145 on this vacancy and in the long run I think it was the right move. I will have far more people below me on the 145. Hell if I was senior on this latest vacancy I'll have over 75 below me once the dust settles. It pays the EXACT same as the 175 and qol should be better. I've been here for some time now and can see with a shiny filter on my glasses. Hell I'd fly a Cessna if qol was better. I was only bidding the 175 for the slim to none chance of lax coming back. The delay actually gave me time to come to the realization that I can't believe rumors. From what I am hearing is they have 11 dcl. Guess where the one backfill is from? Me! I can't stand what that plane represents. I've asked dacuj numerous times to prove any claims he is making with substantial evidence. Hell I have even asked him if he/she is a pilot here. You haven't answered me once. What does piss me off is that you just said sub 2 year upgrade. You know as well as I do that that is complete bs. Your troll level has now been maximized. We are at a 3 year 7 month upgrade at the earliest right now. I think we are in for a rude awakening when the 824 is over. How many sub 824 guys do you think will take the flow at 35 percent capped to 25? I am guessing the over under will be 125.

I wonder what dacuj is smoking himself.
He is on forums that have mostly employed envoy pilots. If they were, attracting large number of me hires why is dacuj preaching to those already employed at envoy. Guess this place sucks so bad he is slinging bull shi+ to keep you here instead of leaving early for a premier airline like delta and United because aa is Not a premier airline
It is us air with cheap lipstick.

Between delta aa and us air I'll take whoever bites first and that will be my career. I'm sure I am not alone in this thinking.

His job is to throw mud at the wall and his favorite splatter aside from flow to the last place major airline for pilot compensation is his version of "heavy" metal, the E-175. I think your priorities are correct in choosing maximum possible QWL vs. less with shinier candy, especially considering QWL at Envoy is pretty elusive for most pilots. Let's face it, the whole point of Envoy is where ELSE it can get you, be it flow to major airline #6, an LCC or true career airlines like the top 5 majors. Your time at Envoy will be a just a footnote in your career path and simply minimizing agony while doing time there will serve you better IMO. The 145 won't slow your path to either #6 or anywhere else vs. the E-175.

Congrats to all who did make the upgrade list and now the patient 6 month wait to see your first sweetened paycheck and 121 PIC hour logged. Remember though, the flow rate is far exceeding the upgrade training rate (bid award to completion to line qualified status) and so some type of shoe has to drop in the future to balance out those forces which cannot remain unbalanced for much longer. Either the flow has to slow, the upgrades and new-hire training has to rapidly accelerate or Envoy has to shrink and relinquish market share to other WO's or elimination outright. Patience and intestinal fortitude will likely be required in the future.

Myopic and lazy thinking. If you are older, then yes, it's likely AA will be your final stop if you flow. To the majority still 40 or younger, the future can still provide plenty of choices and flowing to AA may make the final check in your resume to Delta or United. With little invested at AA and an Airbus or 737 type with 500 hours or so, it just might put your resume at either of those two carriers at the top. Point being, don't immediately ignore options and opportunities just because you flowed to AA. Remember, as AA pilots union has repeatedly confirmed along with many of their pilots, treatment and compensation at AA are far inferior to their competitors and AA has 4 times the debt of Delta and well above that of United, so future job security should not be forgotten.

Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare.

You didn't want to hold out for the premier regional jet? . Think of the babes you'll be rolling in when you're doing your lit and xna shuttles.

Congratulations to everyone who was awarded upgrade or has been withheld.

    Congrats to all.

Foot note. Dacuj is so correct that all instructors in trng department are leaving for flow and the other two delta and United. This is causing major backup in upgrades in all except e145.

Can't blame them. Working for the training department is up there with a colonoscopy. AH does it without lube though.
