Seriously, how anyone couldn't see what would happen once Parker took over. It was apparent how he ran things at USAir. It's like the Munich pact where Europe handed Hitler Czechoslovakia to avoid war. One year later, Hitler invaded Poland. Horton, was the fall guy who had to appear to be the villain so that Parker could takeover with the support of the AA unions. One year later they're at war with him. One can only hope the board is tired of his alcoholic rants, and sends Isom up to bat.

That's not a winning plan for any corporation by any reasonable consideration. Parker can always bail with his millions, but the employees not so easily.
