    Flow info

    0 Not allowed! Not allowed!
Anybody flowed recently here on this site? There's no info other than to fill out the PRIA stuff and go pee in a cup for AA. Class is on the 20th, and I got notified on Friday. I need to know what prep is required, anything else like that, and how the heck to get rid of my last trip (because 7 day conflict with travel to class, of course. But eagle will be like, nope, it's not a 7 day if you don't work here anymore, lol).

Good news on a Friday, what? I know, right? PM me if you want regarding tips and info. Thanks.

They take care of everything from here on out. Don't worry. Hr will email any other stuff you need to do before showing up. They'll take care of travel hotel etc. Relax, nothing to prep for other than showing up when they tell you too. They're on top of it from here on out.

Congrats. There was a post on that other forum about flowing, but I haven't been there in a while so I don't know what it contains.

Go pee in the cup!! That's the "trigger" (get used to that word) that gets everything else rolling. Expect to be busy the week before class getting stuff in. Also, plan on one day off between AE and AA.

    Congrats!!!

Ok, been busy. I'll lay it out for anyone coming up on the flow seeing as there's no info posted here about it.

    1) Your name gets an award date by it on the company election site. If you haven't already, get your PRIA and NDR filled out and sent in ASAP. All that stuff is on the envoy flow info part of the company website.

    2) You'll get a message from someone at the company asking to be sure to complete your PRIA and NDR, I got the request in my AA.com inbox.

    3) You'll get an email in your AA.com email address. Don't have it set up? Time to figure it out, almost all paperwork requests are going to be sent to your AA.com email. The message is a brief welcome and assignment of a class date. I got less than a month's notice, so be prepared to start jumping through hoops.

    4) Attached to #3 is the requirement to go pee in a cup. There are a limited number of locations for this to be done, and a lot close early. (11 AM). Luckily the lady that was scheduling me was able to work out a time at the end of a trip in ORD and got the location to stay open a little late to get me in. You'll also get fingerprinted. It takes about 45 minutes to do everything.

    5) #3 tells you to go fill out your pilot profile. It's pretty quick, instructions are included. You'll need some basic personal history info for this, but if you're flowing soon it'll be easy as you've been employed here for 10+ years. You'll need some aircraft and flight time info, but you can get all of it from DECS unless you've been doing outside flying that you need to include.

    6) After fingerprinting/drug test I got another email to fill out some history for a background check. Dig up your most recent schooling dates, it's needed. They specify only the most recent. My old school docs have been buried under no less than a half-dozen moves across almost as many States, so hopefully this will give all of you fair warning to go find yours.

There was nothing along the way that required any special effort or outside help (other than the drug testing) to complete to get to this point. So far that's where I'm at, I just got a voice mail from a volunteer guy that has something to do with new recruits, so I'll update and add more info as things progress. The CP office didn't know anything about my class date until 3 weeks prior, I'd already been doing all the paperwork and drug testing before they were informed.

Edit: looks like they're calling ahead to let people know which side they're going to, that was the reason for the phone message. I was assigned US Air side. No base or equipment, I'm guessing that'll be taken care of on day 1. No idea what the rest of the class got. The caller is a pilot volunteer that is doing this for the company, he also says more info will be coming our way shortly.

Thanks for posting. Do you mind if I copy and paste this into a new thread (or you can start another one) so I can make it a sticky? Thanks.

Making a sticky however you like will be fine, I'll be adding more and editing. If you make a separate post how would you like to add the updated info?

I have posted this before but thought I should bring this up again.

The pay now is much better than when I went thru, but for those of you that may be concerned and may want access to cash if needed. If you are a member of AAFCU or possibly any other credit union, call them and ask about a line of credit. I called before I went over and was given over 20k line of credit.

Congrats to all those coming over here. Remember any questions or problems you may have do not be afraid to ask use for help. Also the AA people in the Flt Academy will bend over backwards to help you. And the best part is it's not AE.

The company has already said there will be a bid out in October. That will out to all pilots. That will allow US/AW bid openings in AA bases and the same for AA.

The first thing you should do as soon as you can sign into DECS, put a proffer to where you want to go.

Is that allowed? I'm curious when the equipment lock in starts. If you are issued a base and equipment in class, at what point is the bid bypassed? For that matter, how long is the lock in? 1 year?

Also, more paperwork has arrived. More flight time requests, broken down by recency in the last 12 months. TSA stuff. Easy enough to collect from DECS and your epays stuff, or a logbook.

    That's a good point.

So the US lockin is twelve months. 85 hours during training.

AA is 6 months, I believe 77 during training.

In October, every thing is supposed to be six months.

I would personally hold off on putting anything in DECS until everything settles down a bit.
