The senior 12 should call in sick all summer until their class dates. The stories I've heard related to the 175 program are so sad to fathom. Who knew that forcibly signing a horrible contract that guaranteed 40 175 to our airline would just be the tip of the iceberg.

    Can you elaborate?

Really. Don't leave us hanging. There's a couple of loaded statements there.

There was a LCA that the company tried to fire, there were cancelled VAC for pilots on the 175. Heard of a few pilots due to shall we say random agreements going to the 175 forcibly and otherwise, and now withholding the FOs. Reminds me of the banks. To big to fail.

If they're withholding due to staffing, we all need to file a grievance due to the company not adequately staffing the airline.

They just need to upgrade more. Sure it sucks to be a 175 fo and be witheld but if you upgrade others that will speed up the process for those 175 fos waiting to upgrade. Come on upgrade vacancies

I'm guessing upgrades are done for at least 6 months.

Heard the real reason they can't upgrade 175 fo's, is because they just executed two for improper post flights. How dare you delay a 175 for a bird strike inspection. Don't you know the importance of this fleet.

It was a pushing match between the LCA and the company, the company made promises that they decided not to keep. The LCA made expensive plans and commitments based on those promises and basically told the company to get stuffed when they decided not to uphold their end of the deal.

They decided to pursue termination because it was his fault they weren't keeping their word.

Regarding that other pilot going to the 175 out of order, I don't think I've seen an official explanation yet.

Are you saying they fired new FOs due to missing a bird strike on post flight?

No. While I wouldn't put it past them, I was just referring to Neidermeyer's email from last night.

I've talked to the LCA in question. The real reason is little less convoluted and more about the idiocy of this company. I don't know much of the aftermath, however I know I saw him in Chicago on the EMB not long ago and last week I saw him doing ioe on a 175 in Dallas. I also know he wasn't on the flow plan, so I'm sure there is something else going on. The withholding of FO's to Capt. Another example of this companies gross violations.

Which guy was this, the out of order guy or the vacation one? Or are they one and the same? This story gets more convoluted the further it gets from origin.

From what I'm hearing they are one and the same. Though I have heard of other out of order guys. This guy I was referencing wasn't on the flow plan, so I can't say whether he was out of order or not. I'd imagine there are those exempt from being out of order, based on what the company wants. I.e. Withholding upgrades.
